The level of service I received was superb, and it started with his secretary Jessica, who was extremely professional and arranged for me to see him the same day. Mr Al-Hakim was amazing, his knowledge, bedside manner (so to speak), personality, and professionalism was exemplary. He ran some physical tests (with arm in certain positions etc) and pinpointed the potential issues immediately, and advised me of the various recommendations, that would depend on the damage following an ultrasound the following day. Thankfully the scan was positive (thankfully, no rotator cuff tears), and I was given 2 x steroid injections during the appointment. I walked out of the consultation room already feeling so much better, with 100% more movement, and very little pain, and this will just improve over the coming weeks. Thank you for being so thorough, and helping to get me back-to-normal in time for my long-awaited holiday :0)

Had a problem in my left arm for years. He is the first doctor to examine my arm thoroughly and really listened to my concerns. Very professional and has made it clear that if I need treatment in future then he has assured me that it can be treated. Top class !!

Mr Al-Hakim performed carpal tunnel decompression surgery on both of my hands - right one in September 2020 and left in June 2021. The care I received on both occasions, from consultation through to final check-up was exemplary. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Al-Hakim to anyone requiring care/surgery - he is a first class and very caring surgeon.

I had a shoulder operation due to pain and bones rubbing. The first operation did help a lot but I still had pain in some movement. Mr Al-Hakim rescanned my shoulder and said more bone needs to be taken away. He listened to me and did not try to fob me off by saying it will get better be patient etc. Thankfully, after the second surgery I am now pain free and have full movement back again. I’m so pleased with the outcome. I can wash my hair now without being in agony. Such a lovely man who listens to you and asks questions and makes sure you fully understand what is happening. Hopefully, I won’t need any more surgery for my shoulder but if I did have any more problems Mr Al-Hakim would be the person I would want to do it. Thank you so much for not giving up on me and fully understanding my pain.
