What a fantastic person Mr Kim is. I would definitely recommend him. From our first meeting he explained everything and put me at ease. He was easy to talk to and understood my concerns. My knee surgery went well and I am now out of pain and getting my life back on track. The care I received has been fantastic. A big thank you to Mr Kim.

This man is unique among surgeons. He listens and looks his patient in the eye. Rare in itself among surgeons. He has a superb CV and exploits his training and experience with great success. He takes a genuine,sincere,interest in the welfare of his patients and,even more exceptionally,the concerns of his patient's family. His consultation technique is admirably second to none and the outcome of his surgical . I speak from experience ,as a fellow practitioner,of over fifty years. He stands head and shoulders above many in his profession and I have known of only three who can match him.

I am 56 years of age and keen on sports. For the last 2 years I have had problems with my hip. I went to see Dr Kim on a recommendation and found him to be: (i) deeply interested in me as a patient, (ii) sympathetic to the pain I was in, (iii) very clear in explaining the options open to me, and (iv) an expert in his area. In summary, all you want from a doctor when you are facing a big decision such as a major operation. I first had keyhole surgery to clean up the hip and buy me some time and pain relief which was effective for 15 months and then I had a total hip replacement on my left side. Being a nervous patient, Dr Kim put me at my ease and the confidence he exuded helped me to relax. Needless to say the operation was a great success and I am now mobile after only 6 weeks, walking 4 miles a day and back in the gym. I want to highlight one event which I think sums up Dr Kim's approach - seven days after my operation Dr Kim went on vacation to North America but he took the time to continue to check on my progress by phone and email and when I mentioned that I had a soreness around the surgical wound, he contacted my GP and prescribed a drug to clear up the inflammation - this is an excellent example of after care. For at least the last three years I have been aware of stiffness, soreness and eventually severe pain in my right hip resulting in a significant leg length discrepancy and pronounced limp. I knew that I couldn't carry on as I was, my mobility had deteriorated significantly and I was in constant pain. I went back to my GP and requested a referral to a Consultant. My GP was somewhat reluctant and said I was very young to be considering hip surgery, I am 53, but eventually agreed. I chose to see Mr Kim based on his experience, his feedback and a personal recommendation. I was not disappointed. Mr Kim was polite, pleasant, professional and also very approachable. We discussed my situation and decided that the best solution for me was to have a total hip replacement. Mr Kim explained the procedure, how long my recovery would take and gave me a date for my operation. I really felt that I was in very good hands. The procedure went well and I felt much better than I had expected to feel straight away. I am now seven weeks on and my recovery is progressing well. Physiotherapy is going well and I really can feel a difference from it. I feel confident, that once my recovery is complete, I will have the quality of my life back. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Mr Kim and cannot thank him enough.
