I had cataract surgery on the 8th of August by victor hue at Leighton hospital, I was very nervous but there was no need to have been because Mr Hue was very professional and talked me through the whole procedure and made me feel very safe.A couple of hours later my eyesight returned and I haven't worn my glasses since.The nurses were fabulous and took great care.Victor Hue is s genius.

I had originally gone to another consultant about a cataract operation to discover I had an issue with my corneas which was a shock. He suggested I saw Mr Hu but explained that it would take a few months before an appointment could be made. This was not a problem as I preferred to talk to someone who knew this particular field of surgery. My appointment was an hour late but I had no problem with this apart from being concerned I had missed my name. At the end of the day you go to see someone who will give you the time. This is what Mr Hu obviously did. He listened even to what sounded like silly questions or even where he had to repeat an answer. It was obvious that he was not advising the cataract to be removed until it needed to be and he made it clear that we would discuss together what the next step was. He was clear and reassuring. We agreed to a 9 month check up unless I felt there was any deterioration which needed attention before. I came away with literature to explain what would or could happen. I left feeling I was in good hands.

Mr Hu was extremely professional, friendly and approachable. I felt able to talk to him and he explained the process thoroughly. Due to cancellations on the day, I was contacted and offered an earlier appointment of which I was very happy to accept.

Dr Hu was very approachable and listened to the history of my eye problems and explanation of my present eye health, before suggesting possible reasons for this. His examination was very thorough and stress free. I was given information on my eye condition and the appropriate medication. He offered a follow up appointment in 3 months time if I felt it was necessary. I left feeling I might have some relief soon which was great news!
