Mr Hu removed a pterigium. He was first class and also appreciated his careful check-up a few days later. I welcomed his courtesy, great professionalism and careful explanations, and would have no hesitation in recommending him to others.

I was in the care of Mr Hu for a cataract operation, complicated by the fact that I have acute astigmatism in both eyes, i was given the option of having a torik lens fitted to improve this,Mr Hu explained the process and did the procedure which was a success
I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Hu to anyone who is considering eye surgery.

Mr Hu decided to treat my cataracts personally because tests at the hospital revealed that I also had astigmatism, and after discussion with him, we decided to replace my 'muddy ' lenses with replacements mimicking the monovision contact lens prescription I have worn for several years with great success. Mr Hu discussed the idea with me fully, and I felt confident in his knowledge and ability. During the first operation, I was so relaxed, I found myself becoming drowsy! Can't wait to have the other one done. Couldn't wish for better care. Thank you Mr Hu and team!

I was informed in January that the cataract removal from my left eye required a review because of some complication with the cornea. Two months and 3 consultants later I had an appointment with Dr Hu. Following calm discussion with Dr Hu, I was now convinced that the cornea was still robust enough for the surgery, when done by Dr Hu. Anyway, I can see for myself that the cataract is now very pronounced, so what can I lose.
I look forward to Dr Hu successfully completing the operation.

He is passionate about providing excellent patient care and experience. He previously completed a PhD on trachoma with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and currently works with the LSHTM leading research in low-income countries.
