Very pleasant manner, one to one, pre op consultation. Plain speaking and explains exactly what will be happening, alleviates any fears and answers any questions. Only one critique, on the post op information. There is a list of what not to do, in light of exertion on the eye. I had an appointment for a Spiromatrix test, (for COPD) three days after the Op. I tried several times to find out if I should still go ahead with it. Spoke to the senior nurse in Admin of Eye Clinic and was told `it should be ok, my `gut` feeling says it. Spoke to the nurse on call at Mr Hu`s, each time they came back and said it should be ok. I then spoke to the specialist nurse who would be doing the Spiromatrix test, she was appalled and said it should be at least 12 weeks post op. This because of the excessive pressure on the eyeball during the test. it should be added to the list of `what not to do` and Mr Hu`s staff be informed.
Not only does Mr Hu offer his patients his skill, he really listens to any concern they might have, no matter how minor. He also takes time to offer advise. I feel both privileged and very lucky to be his patient.
