Mr Vasileios Arzoglou

This is a bit late but I saw Mr Arzoglou when I was admitted to HRI as an emergency last April. I thought I had sciatica but after an MRI I was diagnosed with an anterior bulging T6/7 which was compromising my spinal cord. I was told I could end up paralysed from the chest down if I didn’t have surgery. The whole team from ED to Mr Arzoglou, theatre staff, Ward 4/40 were amazing. I had 9hrs on the operating table. 2 weeks in hospital and 3 months off work. I was fully informed in writing what my surgery and recovery entailed and although it had take nearly 12 months to get back to full strength I am almost there.

This doctor is very efficient, knowledgeable and kind. I have had 3 appointments with him now, and have felt totally comfortable in his presence, clesrly understanding his explanations and information regarding my back problems etc. I don't know enough about this specialist work to venture any suggestions for improvement on his part. I totally trust that he knows his job well enough to advise and inform me of his decisions.

Had approx. 30 mins with Mr. Arzoglou and he explained findings of recent MRI in depth, and steps been taken moving forward. He seemed very attentive and interested in his patients' needs and questions. I have received the next scan dates and will welcome feedback as soon as available.
