I met Mr Kane after a second opinion referral in November 2021. At this appointment Mr Kane listened carefully to my concerns and experience of osteoarthritis in my left knee, which had been causing great discomfort, limiting my work life/balance greatly. Mr Kane recommended a total knee replacement which was carried out in February 2022. I met with Mr Kane prior to the day of surgery where he again explained the procedure, including risks, and ensured I had all the information for post surgery recovery. I next saw Mr Kane on the morning of surgery where he very reassuringly checked once more I was happy to go ahead and that I had all the relevant information. Mr Kane attended me on day of discharge 4 days later and after examining my knee, was happy for me to go home. My post-operative appointment 8 weeks after surgery was the last time I met Mr Kane. He talked through relevant recovery procedures and was very reassuring about some concerns I had around straightening of my leg. I felt confident in my ability to continue improving and very thankful Mr Kane had listened to me where others had not.

I was referred to Mr Kane in 2019 to have my left hip replaced. I was in severe pain and couldn’t move without the aid of crutches Mr Kane explained the procedure in great detail, was kind and caring both before, during and after my operation My hip replacement was a complete success In 2021 I returned to Mr Kane to have my right hip replaced I am now completely pain free in both hips, prior to my hip replacements I had permanent back ache and every movement hurt, walking was impossible I will always be extremely grateful to Mr Kane for his expert care

Mr Kane performed my total hip replacement at Queen Alexandra Hospital and the result was excellent. Everything went according to plan and I could not fault my whole experience from admission to discharge. I was so pleased with the result of my operation and have now got my life back as my mobility has been regained fully and I am pain free.
