I had a full right hip replacement done in July 2022, followed by a full left hip replacement in March 2023. Both operations were done by Mr Kane. He has been kind, reassuring, respectful, informative and approachable throughout - starting with seeing him for the very first time to discuss all options available, through to having the operations themselves, and again checking in on my post op recovery. Both operations were successful. Giving me back my mobility and freeing me from pain, this surgery has opened up my life opportunities again. I'm planning for the future now and it feels good. I'd like to say a huge thank you to Mr Kane and every single member of his team and all the hospital staff that looked after me so well during both operations, including the cleaning staff, portering staff and catering staff, and especially the lovely 'tea lady' who pampered me with endless tea and biscuits.

Mr Kane is such a lovely person, easy to talk to, and has the ability to put you at your ease. He takes the time to get to know you and your circumstances, and takes a genuine interest in you as a person. He explained clearly every detail about the total hip replacement he was going to perform, and answered all of my questions and concerns. Both Mr Kane and his team were absolutely fantastic on the day, they were all so pleasant and caring. Both my pre op and post op care have been second to none, culminating in a very successful hip replacement, full recovery and discharge from his care. Thank you so much Mr Kane!

I initially chose Mr Kane to undertake my hip replacement as his patients' reviews were so good in every respect. I have no hesitation in confirming all the good reports on his personal manner, his justified professional confidence and optimistic outlook. He carefully explains all aspects of his intended procedure and willingly listens to and addresses any concerns put to him. My own recovery proved rapid and totally successful, resulting in a new-found pain-free state, allowing me to get back confidently to the fully active life style I had missed for some months. I heartily recommend Mr Kane in his orthopaedic role.

My total hip replacement on the 29th March this year was life changing. From my 1st appointment I felt at ease and confident with Mr Kane . My care was extremely good and recovery was straight forward . Mr kane was happy to answer any queries I had and was very approachable to talk to.

Was in for a total hip replacement, but unfortunately due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control was unable to go into surgery. My operation was again cancelled due to my having low blood platelets. On the third occasion in March of this year everything was fine and I am now on the way to full health. I cannot speak more fully about Mr Kane, an extremely experienced and knowledgeable surgeon with a great sense of humour and politeness. I would have liked to have had this operation on the first occasion but notwithstanding all the delays I would have no hesitation to have him operate on me at anytime…
