Mr Thomas Satyadas from my first appointment made me feel at easy of mind, nothing seemed to be a problem no matter how complex I had a Laparoscopic cholecystectomy . As explained this speeded up my recovery time . If I had a second gall bladder he would be the person to remove it . I wish him well great professional and caring people’s pearson. Thank you Thomas

Mr Satyadas has a very calming, re-assuring and caring manner, unlike a number of people in his position. He listens and is happy to answer any questions that are put to him. I can only assess his professional competence by reference to one operation...laparoscopic surgery on what was thought to be 2 inguinal hernias, but 3 were found and repaired. I did not need to take any painkillers after surgery and was signed off 'to do anything' within 2 weeks of the procedure.

I was recently referred to Dr Satyadas for him to perform a gastrojejunostomy. My husband and I met Dr Satyadas on 29th January 2019 for the initial consultation which is where his care actually started as he personally drained my stomach to relieve it of fluid prior to being admitted to the Alexandra a few days later. The operation took place on the 3rd February. The operation was a success and recovery quick. Throughout this whole journey Dr Satyadas has been and continues to pay attention to our wellbeing, being incredibly supportive and understanding to us both. In the words of Adam Kay, Author of This is Going to Hurt, Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor “A great doctor must have a huge heart and a distended aorta through which pumps a vast lake of compassion and human kindness”. This resonated with me as it is something Dr Satyadas has in abundance, along with professionalism, humbleness, skill and dedication. The respect and gratitude that my husband and I have for Dr Satyadas will never be forgotten as he made this part of the journey bearable and due to his skill, my quality of life has been improved immensely as I can now eat and enjoy food again which was essential to undergoing my next stage of treatment.

I am most grateful to Mr Thomas Satyadas who performed my remarkably successful liver surgery in Manchester Royal Infirmary in January 2019. To increase the chances of successful surgery and enhance recovery, Mr Satyadas was insistent on ensuring that I was as fit as possible prior to surgery following a long period of chemotherapy, I can’t thank him enough as my recovery has been better than I could have ever hoped for. Not only is Mr Satyadas a superb surgeon but he also took a keen interest in my recovery and kept my family up to date both before and after surgery, he was happy to discuss the procedure, answer any questions and generally make himself available. I feel incredibly lucky to have had Mr Satyadas as my surgeon, I couldn’t recommend him enough.

I cannot speak too highly of Dr Thomas Satyadas as regards his professional manner and surgical expertise. The care I received at the BMI Alexandra hospital. Cheadle, Stockport was truly outstanding both before and after my quadruple hernia operation. I was able to go home the same day with little discomfort and did not require pain relief. The only evidence of surgery is a faint one inch scar below my navel. I would like to thank Mr Satyadas and his team once again for looking after me so well and doing such a great job.
