I met Mr Satyadas in Jan 23 after becoming very ill with a pancreatic cyst and abscess. I found him to be warm, friendly and kind, and clearly very knowledgeable. It took some time for the team to understand what was going on and what treatment was needed. Mr Satyadas made sure I was kept up to date and gave me every confidence that things would be ok. His follow up care has been prompt and clear. He is clearly an excellent surgeon, but I also feel he is personally driven to support his patients holistically. I cannot recommend him enough.

Thomas is friendly, knowledgeable, kind and put me at ease from the moment I met him. He came highly recommended to me and given it was my first surgery and time in hospital, he made it a positive experience. His humour, expertise and professionalism are just what you would want as a nervous patient. From my initial consultation to my post operative care/follow up, I was guided through each step and offered lots of support/advice. Thomas is an amazing surgeon and equally as important, has a wonderful bedside manner. If you have the opportunity to see Thomas, I would highly recommend it, he is just fantastic.

I was admitted to hospital for liver surgery on 31st January. My surgeon had previously spoken to me on the phone to explain the diagnosis and the procedure that was needed in language that I could understand I was immediately aware of his overall concern for my reaction to this and he asked about any support I may need. This concern has been prevalent throughout my treatment. In hospital Dr Satyadas was caring and knowledgeable even about my home life. He again showed this in a follow up phone conversation. Dr Satyadas is obviously an excellent surgeon whose reputation is well deserved, but his approach to his patients goes much further than that. I have felt that he takes a very personal view of his patients that greatly reassures them. He has made a difficult time so much easier. I would like to thank him and his staff once again for all he has done.

I was referred to Mr Satyadas by my gastroenterologist. I found Mr Satyadas extremely knowledgeable, personable, calming, kind and considerate. I felt comfortable to discuss all aspects of care without feeling rushed, and subsequently had the recommended surgery performed by him. I was really satisfied with the experience and cannot recommend Mr Satyadas highly enough.

I had been undergoing chemotherapy under the NHS for the treatment of liver cancer, following an earlier operation for bowel cancer, when I decided to seek a second opinion. I was referred to Thomas Satyadas to discuss the possibility of a liver re-section. He listened carefully to my medical history before advising that he could operate to remove the 10 tumours. He then went through the potential risks of the operation, heightened by my suffering from haemochromatosis, in considerable detail and indicated that he would only proceed subject to me passing a fitness test and undergoing a stress test on my heart. During the consultation he also identified that I had a ruptured hernia which he would be able to operate on at the same time. The operations on my liver and hernia were both successful, which are testament to Mr Satyadas's skills as a surgeon, but what I also came to appreciate are his total dedication, humour and compassion for his patients.
