Mr Nanidis & team at The Royal Marsden - Sutton/ Fulham sites have been truly amazing. I can’t express how thankful I am to them all for such great care. A diagnosis of Breast Cancer can turn your life upside down. Mr Nanidis has been such a kind and empathetic surgeon, spending time discussing the DIEP procedure & bilateral reconstruction, , the risks and benefits, prior to surgery and he has always helped me feel that I am in great hands & at ease. His professional and calming attitude helped me as I approached what felt like a long road to recovery. My experience of being under his care, with his very calm and caring attitude have made a hard experience so much better. The attention to detail when it came to surgery, plus the after care, when there were a few minor complications, were all dealt with promptly and with great expertise. Thank you so much for such great care. Forever thankful.

I have had an initial consultation with Mr. Theodore Nanidis and a member of his team Ashwin Soni. I arrived realising that it would take major surgery to reconstruct my breast after remedial surgery had been performed many years ago and was now causing discomfort and contraction of the area. I had quite some trepidation at the prospect. I left feeling that a load had been lifted from me with the decision easy to make after everything had been explained to me, both the pros and the cons. I am an older lady although very fit and well but I was made to feel that my situation and final result was just as important as that of a 30 year old. I had many questions which were addressed with clarity and patience. I have total confidence that my surgery will be performed with care and attention to detail. I have yet to have the surgery (I guess Corona virus will determine now when that can go ahead) but instead of worrying I am looking forward to getting it done by this caring man and his team. Thank you, no more sleepless nights filled with indecision.

I have been under the care of Mr Nanidis for 3 years. The care I have received and continue to receive is excellent, always being treated with kindness and care, and in a professional manner. Everything about the surgeries was explained clearly and in detail.Mr Nanidis attention to detail has produced excellent results. The scars are neat and have faded.The results of my breast reconstruction have far exceeded my expectations and I could not be happier, all thanks to Mr Nanidis.

Dr Nanidis had a huge impact on my breast cancer journey. I had a super hectic family life and a cancer diagnosis was just a massive inconvenience, probably didn’t sink in straight away but I wanted it out and to get back to my life. I was very grateful to the breast care team for reacting and treating me the way they did. I didn’t expect the plastics team to be involved and I didn’t expect to be offered such extensive reconstruction. I was reluctant at first, I was brought up to avoid any unnecessary operations. However I was a 36J and at nearly 50 my back was protesting, I had a baby belly I hated and my “child was 22” so I said yes please do your stuff. Mr Nanidis and his team have a priceless skill of balancing their professionalism with making you feel relaxed confident and I’m safe hands, even though it was explained to me that the results in my case could be challenging. I have to say I massively underestimated how having a reconstruction has changed me. I love my body for the first time in my life, I’m so much more confident in my own skin which I thought I would never experience at nearly 50 and having been over weight all my life. My scars are so neat and actually make my new shape what it is and I can’t thank Mr Nanidis and his team enough for this part of my cancer journey is life changingly positive.

I have met Mr Nanidis in one of my most fragile conditions both emotionally and physically after a DIEP Flap breast reconstruction operation, whilst my own surgeon was not around to give me consultation. From the moment he came to visit me at the Royal Marsden Hospital, he gave me a sense of assurance that he's there wholeheartedly to fix the problem. I had Hematomas 10 days post surgery which could damage my flap. Mr Nanidis went an absolute extra mile to make himself available, helping me with making the decision to allow him to operate on me to clean and fix the source of the bleeding in my reconstructed breast. He's done an amazing job. He's very knowledgeable, very caring, very kind and very calm which makes him a dream surgeon for anyone under his care. I absolutely recommend him as I was really lucky for him to step in and operate on me.
