Dr.Thangeswaran is a rare gem of a doctor. He is not only fully knowledgeable in his fields, he also possesses a wonderful therapeutic alliances with his patient; me in this reference.. I had a total hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo Oophorectomy surgery performed by him. My case was a complicated one, hence I had to undergo a conventional open surgery. He explained everything in detail to me pre-surgery which helped to ease my worries. Throughout my 5 days post surgery stay, he would come in to check on me regardless how busy his schedules were. Due to my slightly high temperature, he would not discharge me until my fever had completely subsided for 12 hours, and my temperature returned to normalcy. He is a doctor who would not leave any stones unturned. I will definitely recommend Dr. Thanges to any female patients seeking for a gynaecologist. He is a 5-star Doctor.

He was a real gentleman and very caring. He explained everything to me and after my operation my bloods weren't as they should have been so he came in when he should have been on leave to make sure I was ok. He wouldn't allow me to leave until he had made sure everything was fine. He is a credit to the NHS

After being on tamoxifen for 10 years and having the brca2 gene I had pre cancerous cells Mr Ayakannu recommend I have a full hysterectomy which at 1st I was shocked about. He explained everything in detail to me and that the surgery would be done with robotics which I didn’t have much knowledge about but it sounded like a great option. On the day of surgery all the staff at the Liverpool women’s were amazing everything was explained in detail again and they all made me feel relaxed and confident, I only spent 1 night in hospital , I woke with hardly any pain and was up on my feet the next morning It is 3 weeks since my surgery now life is back to normal I only have 5 small incisions in my tummy Which you can hardly notice I can not thank mr Ayakannu and the team enough

I had a robotic hysterectomy performed by Mr Ayakannu and his team on 8 March 2021 (12weeks today!). I had no pain at all- only mild discomfort. My recovery has been miraculous. Yesterday I went to a bird sanctuary and had no trouble carrying a camera stand practically the entire time!! I am so grateful that I could have robotic surgery and for all the care I have received.

I would definitely recommend Mr Ayakannu. Feel grateful for the robotic surgery as I had no pain. Was easily walking around the ward the day following the operation. Had a good consultation 3 weeks post operation.
