From my first consultation with Mr. Bokhari I felt he was straightforward and explained what was needed to carry out my full knee replacement. On my second consultation he confirmed exactly how my surgery would take place. On the day of the operation he confirmed that the surgery he had carried was as expected. I am now 13 weeks in from the operation and after a consultation this week he was very pleased with my progress and the outcome. I couldn't have asked for better care from Mr. Bokhari, his operation team and the after care at Burnley General Hospital - Ward 15.

I had a total knee replacement 7 weeks ago with Mr Bokhari, I cannot thank him enough, I am now getting my life back. Mr Bokhari was professional in his care before and after surgery, he explained everything the operation entailed and what I needed to do to aid my recovery. I am now walking unaided without a limp and no pain and now looking forward to the future.
I am so grateful to Mr Bokhari and I highly recommend him to anyone needing a knee replacement.

Mr Syed Bokhari is a credit to his profession. A true gentleman who is kind compassionate and shows great empathy. He sat with me for nearly half hour explaining with superb clarity and demonstrating with interactive models and graphics on the computer regarding the complex soft tissue and knee joint. This information was paramount for me to make an informed judgement of what lay ahead after my recent knee injury. Also offering and advising improvements I can make pre op should I go ahead with a knee replacement. I cannot thank him enough and without hesitation would know without doubt that whatever the outcome I would have confidence and trust to place myself in Mr Syed Bokhari’s care.

Mr Bokhari is a Consultant at East Lancashire Hospitals Trust, The Beardwood Hospital, Euxton Hall Hospital and Buckshaw Hospital, specialising in hip and knee replacement surgery, complex hip and knee replacement surgery, revision surgery and peri prosthetic fracture fixation surgery.
Mr Bokhari obtained his medical degree in 2007 from the prestigious King's College Medical University in London and since completed his specialist training in Yorkshire. During this time, Mr Bokhari was involved in over 2800 operations, having been the primary Surgeon in over a thousand.
Once he obtained his certificate of completion training (CCT), Mr Bokhari was invited to undertake his fellowship at the birth centre of hip surgery and World renowned - Wrightington Hospital, where he refined his surgical skills to undertake complex primary and revision joint surgery.
Mr Bokhari has published many articles of which some have led to local and national changes. Mr Bokhari has also written a book to help senior trainees pass their consultant exams.
Mr Bokhari has a passion for teaching and this has led him to receive numerous teaching awards. His most prized award is the Dr Andrew White Master in Apprentice Teaching Award.
Mr Bokhari enjoys playing Golf, Cricket, Wing Chun Kung Fu, cycling and Motor Racing.
