I was a bit apprehensive at first prior to having my stapedotomy (ear surgery), as I heard that there were risks involved. I had to wear hearing aids to start of with, which proved to be uncomfortable at times However, after attending an appointment with my consultant, it really boosted my confidence. I can say that having the surgery was the best option I could have considered. I would say to anyone that is nervous in having the surgery to consider the option, yes there are risks but these are small. I had the surgery and it has really made a difference to my life and improved my hearing significantly.

I was referred to Central Middlesex hospital from my GP due to my sever hearing loss in both of my ears, this effected my personal and work life majorly. So on my first visit I had to take hearing test to see which ears were effected the most. After That i was seen by Mr Pal one of the specialists he suggested to either get hearing aids or have a surgery called a stapedectomy. At first I wasn't too sure about it I wasn't that comfortable with surgeries as I've never had one before, until Mr Pal went through everything with me even the little details made me fully understand how it works feel positive about the op, so he handed me lots of leaflets and told me to think about it and in my next visit to confirm what I wanted to do. On my next visit I told him I wanted to go through with the operation because I felt having hearing aids was just going to be a major hassle so I chose to go through with the oportaion I also felt comfortable with Mr Pal so I asked him specifically if he could do my surgery as I am picky with my doctors in which he agreed to. In November 2016 I had my stapedeomy which went really well. The nurses who looked after me was brilliant I stayed over that night and every 30min someone would come to check up on me which was great. The only downside was the stitches very uncomfortable for a couple of days especially during the night. I would highly recommend surgery for people who have hearing loss you will be amazed at how well you can hear as if it Is a miracle. Looking forward to my left ear surgery. Thank you Mr Pal you have been absolutely brilliant!

My daughter was suffering from ear infection and always have proplem with listening and concentration. She was also having problem with snoring, not only while sleeping but all the time i could hear the snoring sound. Atlast i took her to Doctor. Dr Pal advised for Grommet ear insertion. After the operation i can see a difference in her not just listening , but also her performance in school is much better. I would advised to all Parents, not to delay with this procedure, that is quite simple and quick.

My daughter needed grommets and was given them in January 2015. Dr Pal is a great surgeon and his team were all very helpful. The procedure itself was performed very quickly and my daughter was her normal self within half an hour of coming out of recovery! The effects of the grommets were noticed the same day of surgery with Her being able to watch tv with volume at a normal level! and her shouting when speaking was reduced also. Her grommets have since fallen out with no pain to my daughter, her hearing doesn't seem as bad as it was before and she still has regular check ups with Dr Pal. The ongoing care she receives from all the team at central Middlesex hospital is great and we can't thank you enough!

Mr Pal diagnosed me with a Cholesteatoma. He treated me with excellent care from the first consultation right through to my post-op follow up. He was very professional in all aspects of my care and explained every detail of the diagnosis, surgical procedure and outcomes in depth. Mr Pal gave very informative answers regarding all my concerns and made me feel at ease. The surgery went smoothly and I recovered very well with very minimal pain. Mr Pal maintained high quality of care every step of the way and for that I am extremely grateful. I highly recommend him as he is kind, caring, nothing short of exceptional, and very professional. Thank you Mr. Pal for taking such good care of me and giving me a great outcome.
