Well where do I start .Mr Push is an amazing compassionate consultant he will always try his very best to see me himself at clinic .Although at times I wish Mr Push could help more to improve my condition I am also very aware because of the complexity of my diagnosis it’s to dangerous to operate.I know for sure if somehow he could heal me he would. He always has a lovely smile when he greets you and has a very soft spoken voice he has plenty of time for his patience I have never felt rushed or not heard. At times I drive him crazy when I’m worried about symptoms but he will reassure me I’m ok .I always leave his clinic feeling less stressed and able to feel more positive about my future.Although I’m extremely grateful another brilliant neurosurgeon at this hospital operated on me .Im know very proud to say Mr push is my neurosurgeon. His the best .

I was told i do not need physio by the consultants registrar. They advise me to take off my brace and not wear the brace. Strained my neck whilst sleeping and now I have put the neck brace back on. No proper advise how to take care, nor a care plan to phase out the brace. I am quite hesitant taking the brace off, I am in a limbo, tried to call the neurosurgery team no one picks up. I dont expect any further treatment, hence the consultant will brush my review under the carpet as he did in my previous one.

Had a really serious accident , Jefferson fracture. I dont hardly see him, during the course of recovery felt very isolated, and wasn't given any advice. Had to get referral to BMI London independent, They were much better and helpful, did basic stuff and explain more reassuringly. Been in limbo for 5 months, very disorganised and outdated scans which they weren't able to report on.

Response from Mr Suresh Pushpananthan

I'm sorry to hear that your experience was not as expected. I try to see most of my patients in person when possible. However, due to the pressures within the NHS, I often have to rely on my large, but excellent team of surgeons to see patients. I wish you the very best for your recovery.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Push. I had an emergency in London and needed to be operated on the following day after much testing. Dr. Push carefully explained the surgery and risks. He instilled a calmness in me and I had complete confidence in him. He is an expert neurosurgeon and I began my long period of healing fast, thanks to him. He visited me several times after the operation and was kind, concerned, detailed in his explaining what my recovery process would be. One year later, I returned to London and was thrilled to visit with Dr. Push and show him my progress. Again, he was gracious, kind, honest and gave me hope for more improvement. He always made me feel like he cared and had time to sit with me. Absolutely a kind soul and masterful neurosurgeon. Thank you Dr. Push and all your staff including Dr. Aswin Chari and those who comforted me.
