I have been under Mr Sharma's care for a number of years and have always found his consultations to be professional, caring, understanding and fully explained. All these qualities were apparent when he was asked recently to perform a routine procedure as the nurse had been unsuccessful. He found the time to willingly carry out the procedure with a full explanation and discussion in his usual professional manner.

Mr Sharma has from the very beginning of my treatment, treated me with respect and given me the best of his time. From the outset I have felt confident and know he has my best interests. He is very professional and makes me so content when my appointment is over. I can't thank him enough.

I was seen in clinic today by Mr Sharma and have been under Mr. Sharma’s care for several years. I cannot fault him in any way and he is a true gentleman, always extremely pleasant and courteous. After increased PSA levels I have recently undergone 2 biopsies, a CT scan, a bone scan and an MRI scan so I cannot fault the care and attention I have received from Mr Sharma and the Urology team. Mr Sharma is happy to explain things and to listen to concerns. For today’s appointment and the previous one I attended Stamford hospital, instead of Peterborough City Hospital. Although it is an old hospital it is quiet and the staff are lovely and helpful, especially Shirley in Urology. The only complaint I have is with the appalling Outpatients Appointment telephone line at Peterborough. For queries regarding appointments it can take hours of constantly ringing or holding on the line being told you are number ten in the queue and then when you get to number one the line goes dead. My wife complained to PALS about the service only to be told “well he hasn’t got cancer”. Not quite the point as a patient could have developed it whilst waiting for an appointment and not actually being seen when required. Senior management at Peterborough need to get their act together. They are letting down the wonderful hardworking consultants like Mr Sharma and his team.

Mr Sharma has always been extremely polite, extremely professional, and unlike many in the medical profession, he listens and I have never felt I am being rushed, or am just a 'number' or just another patient. He cares and shows he cares. Very impressed with him.
