I first met Sunil in 2012, when after 3 trips in a week to A&E in agony, i was referred to him with a spontaneous winged scapula. I cried with relief when i left his room, finally someone who listened, who not only understood what i was saying, but genuinely seemed to care. He said he would do everything within his power to make it better and he didn't let me down. Sadly though my body did let me down and over the last 4 years i have had several different problems with my shoulders that have left me in pain, without sleep and unable to carry out normal everyday tasks. Sunil has been there every step of the way, and his unwavering dedication in trying to find out why my body keeps failing me has been truly outstanding and i cannot thank him enough. The last few years have been incredibly difficult for me but knowing that i had him on my side made it somehow more bearable. Sunil's dedication to his patients is beyond reproach and he is, without doubt, the most caring and compassionate doctor that i have ever known. So when he told me the news that he would be leaving, i was devastated, but i have no doubt that my loss will be York's gain. Writing this has been incredibly hard as i really cannot find enough complementary superlatives to describe this truly amazing man. I wish him every luck in his new and exciting journey and i will miss him terribly. Thank You Sunil, your one of a kind. Tracey Noakes
