I have every confidence in Mr Robertson, he’s is a super friendly, professional surgeon. At every consultation he’s been so very kind, compassionate and understanding. I’ve never felt rushed or that he’s not listening to me or respecting my wishes. Indeed, he’s given me his full attention, always treating me with respect throughout all of my consultations and three surgeries. Mr Robertson is meticulous to detail and certainly endeavours to make sure he’s done his very best and realises how important it is for his patients undergoing life changing breast surgery. I’m so very grateful for his care and empathy. He’s played an important part my in cancer journey and road to recovery. Thank you Mr Robertson.

I feel very fortunate to have been put under Mr Robertsons care for my preventative double masectomy with reconstruction. From start to finish I was well informed, listened to and looked after. My surgery and subsequent recovery went well. Mr Robertson is kind, professional and gets to the point. I am over the moon with the results and know that if I have any issues or concerns in the future I can contact him via the breast care team.

I was diagnosed in June 2023 with breast cancer (grade 2) after routine screening in and couldn't really absorb the potential gravity of the diagnosis but was anxious about it taking too long. i felt I had waited too long to get the diagnosis (over six weeks after my biopsy) in the NHS and so i explored options for private medial treatment. Within a few minutes of my enquiry i had a response from Mr Robertson explaining with great confidence that my condition was entirely treatable and straight forward. I was actually sceptical at first. I managed to see him within the week and had the the operation just over 2 weeks later. A breast reduction was advised by him because i had breast to spare - and this would avoid the scar of a lumpectomy as my my cancer was quite high on my chest and could also ensure a larger margin. He was kind, clear and straight forward with no frills about my diagnosis and always conveyed optimism. I was inexplicably sceptical - which i can only attribute to nerves and anxiety on my part. I did get second opinion on the approach to surgery advised from an expert I got i touch with via my work, and found that everything Mr Robertson had explained and advised was entirely in line with the second opinion. So i went ahead - had the surgery and can now see with great clarity that everything he explained right from the outset about what he would do, the potential pros and cons and anticipated treatment pathway was exactly as he predicted. I am 4 weeks post operation - and cancer was removed easily with a big margin and histology good. I will see him again for future treatment - in particular corrective surgery on the other breast to balance. I am vey pleased. I am incredibly grateful and can see with hindsight how much i benefited from his kindness, clarity and where i was sceptical about false optimism - was actually him just telling me how it was - (as far as he could tell) - which actually, it was. I would definitely recommend him and am so pleased with my treatment so far. I cannot fault it - i can only fault myself for being sceptical. I now feel very lucky.

I went to see Mr Robertson to discuss risk reducing surgery. I couldn’t have asked for a more compassionate and understanding approach. He carefully explained my options and when I decided on surgery went through in detail what could be done and how. He spent as much time as I needed explaining and answering any questions myself and my partner had. We had a number of follow up appointments to discuss and I felt extremely confident and reassured before surgery. The appointments were always followed up with a letter explaining what we had discussed, which was very welcome as there was a lot to digest. The surgery itself went smoothly with Mr Robertson again spending time with me before and after explaining everything and reassuring me. I was able to schedule the date for surgery to suit me which was incredibly helpful. I am now 5 weeks post surgery and am delighted with the results. I had a bilateral skin saving nipple sacrificing mastectomy and dermal sling implant reconstruction. My wounds are healing well and are very neat. I have had no issues at all. I am so pleased I found Mr Robertson and will always be grateful for his help. He helped me go from an 88% risk of breast cancer to 5-10% and I cannot express my gratitude enough. I would thoroughly recommend him.

Mr Stuart Robertson is an excellent surgeon. He performed a mastectomy last May for me. I had several appointments with him both before and after surgery and have had two this year in his clinic for further surgery planned. In all my encounters with Mr Robertson I found him to explain things in a crystal clear, calm and open way. I have never been in doubt as to what was happening or what has happened to me. If i am he takes time to explain and not in a patronising way. He delivered some news regarding a cancer i had last year in a way that could only be described as completely kind. The surgery itself went very well and I would have all my upcoming surgeries with him if I had the chance as I trust his skill completely. Last year during my diagnosis and surgery I was also going through a terrible time regarding my son in ICU for 3 months at the exact same time. I found Mr Robertson to be genuinely caring as we were utterly devastated (all was ok in the end). I do feel this goes above and beyond what is basically necessary but just to say it really helps your state of mind and most likely recovery in how you get treated by the professionals. I do like the way his letters are written, again friendly and respectful. I have a lot of respect for him and my husband does also. I would like to say that in case of any doubt, I feel like he saved my life. Its not just surgery its the skill of knowing what's best for the patient and how to do the surgery for the best outcome long term especially where cancer is involved. I highly recommend him.
