Written by a private patient

Having been diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer, I was initially in shock. This was compounded by a long and nervous wait for an operation under the NHS. When I could bear the wait no longer I turned to private care at the Nuffield at Warwick and found Mr. Robertson to be exceptional in every respect. So what was I looking for? Someone who listened to my point of view; who explained my options clearly and simply but didn't patronize me. Someone who cared deeply enough to want to do a neat job, and who I believed I could trust implicitly to operate as soon as was feasible. I elected for a simple bilateral mastectomy with aesthetic flat closure and Mr. Robertson did a fantastic job! The specialist breast nurse he works with, Shona Glen, has been equally as good and they work together extremely efficiently, following up any queries I had with care and attention. They really make every effort to know the patient and what makes us tick, offering all sorts of additional useful information and web sites. His secretary Michelle was also very good and always responded very quickly to any request. I would recommend Mr. Robertson and his wider team to anyone looking for first class care. They made what could have been a scary, frightening and unfamiliar situation the most positive it could be. Thank you Mr. Robertson, Shona and Michelle!
