Mr. Tai is a very thoughtful and understanding person. He gives advice as needed. He puts you at ease from a first meeting and answers any questions you may ask in a positive way. Having in the past undergone two knee replacement operations under the care of Mr. Tai, I would not hesitate to recommend him.

Mr Stephen Tai and his team at Pinehill, replaced my hip in January 2023. I would have no hesitation recommending him, the hospital staff and the hospital itself. Mr Tai was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I felt at ease at all stages of the process from the initial consultation through to the operation itself, and on to the discharge following some weeks after the operation. Not only is he very professional but he has a great ability to explain in simple straightforward terms the various aspects of the operation. The physiotherapy team at Pinehill have also been excellent in helping me to expedite my recovery.

This is my second hip replacement operation performed by Mr Tai. Following the fantastic results from my first hip replacement, there was no hesitation in contacting Mr Tai for an appointment when the pain in my second hip became severe. The whole process from initial appointment to surgery and follow up was flawless. Ellis (Mr Tai’s PA) was brilliant, keeping me informed throughout and answering any queries. Mr Tai is a very calm, professional and approachable specialist who will answer any questions you may have. Once again I am pain free with great results from my surgery. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Mr Tai.

I initially booked an appointment with Mr. Tai so that he could perhaps explain my Xray result to me; I had previously had a telephone appointment with my GP who said my left hip and probably the other looked like it needed operating on but could not explain anymore detail. My appointment to visit Pinehill Hospital was quick, a few days after I had telephoned, and on 10th February 2023 Mr. Tai explained my condition. He said he could operate on 1st March 2023 and so I jumped at the chance and booked for that date with him. After having blood tests, and ecg tests etc. I was duly operated on and woke up at 6.00 pm on 1st March 2023 with a new hip. Physiotherapists visited me to show me how to walk and go over my exercises. Mr. Tai visited me the next day to check that I was feeling well and had no complications. I had a further appointment with Mr. Tai to check that all is well with my new hip. All is well and I have not got pain in my left hip and can walk normally.
