I’m not quite the same ME just a different me as my sight is hazy due to one tumour being on the optical nerve this was explained by mr price before the operation so I knew exactly what to expect . His positivity at my recovery was crucial to my well being and I’m here to thank him for all he and his team for what they have done for me . I’m living my life to the full just like he prescribed . I am a 64 yr woman with secondary cancer and I feel so fortunate to have been able to have this operation . I had a seizure during a flight from London to Tokyo, and was diagnosed with a brain lesion upon arrival in Tokyo. I was extremely fortunate to be admitted under the care Mr. Price while still in Tokyo, waiting for medical repatriation. He arranged a bed for me in the neurosurgery ward on the night I landed back from Japan. Suspecting a malignant tumor, he scheduled a brain surgery at the earliest. On the morning of my surgery, I had a last minute MRI scan, that showed that my lesion had sightly shrunk under steroids, and Mr. Price took the call of cancelling my surgery while I was already in the theatre, to investigate possible alternative diagnosis. I was very impressed by the way Mr Price handled this very usual situation, coordinating with various hospital departments. After one month of extensive testing, and new MRI data showing a slight increase, he eventually scheduled another surgery. The surgery (in October 2019) was very well managed, and it was so painless that I only took paracetamol once after. When I first met Mr Price I immediately felt I was in good hands. Mr Price is a cheerful and gentle person, who takes the time to listen and to answer questions and more crucially, he goes the extra mile to provide the best possible outcome for his patients. In my case (I'm bilingual), he arranged for an awake craniotomy with language tests both in French and English to insured the best possible mapping for language areas. My condition was not something he had ever had to deal with earlier, and there were quite a few hard decisions to make along the way. He always handled it very thoughtfully. I feel eternally grateful to him and his team for how well they cared for me.

I met with Mr Price on Thursday 16th May 2019 for my very first consultation to discuss the results of the tests taken at Ipswich hospital about my brain tumour, Mr Price was extremely professional, clear and thorough about the choices I have. He explained the procedures he would like to carry out thoroughly and with great care and passion which put my mind at rest and I have every confidence in Mr Price.

A review of Neurosurgeon Mr Stephen Price of Addenbrookes, Cambridge. During my assessment by Mr Stephen Price, Mr Price was extremely helpful in suggesting advice in regards to what medication would be more appropriate to take alongside my other treatment. After this appointment, he directly called my cancer surgery to prescribe the other medication he suggested, which I very much appreciated. During this appointment, I felt completely safe and I trusted his judgement in regards to what the best direction was for treating my tumour. Mr Price was also very reassuring; I had a lot of questions to ask him to which he was able to answer quickly and clearly and he was also able to elaborate on any other elements of the procedure I had not thought about. As a person, Mr Price is extremely patient and thoughtful; he very clearly cares about his patients and displayed a great sense of pride for his team, something which also helped me feel more at ease. I have complete and utter faith in Mr Price and his team as a result of this meeting and I am very impressed by how quick and he was able to arrange appointments and treatments.
