We all want great care, and have great faith that's what will happen, situations where you don't have the control is worrying. My situation of a severed ACL at 57 was worrying to say the least...I was frightened and totally in the dark, then Stephen Guy came along, and simply put is without question, THE most exceptionally capable Doctor I could have met at this point, his approach to 'putting right' his patient, and getting them well, isn't about wielding his skill as a surgeon without looking at the full picture, he looks at the best for you from the perspective of being a Doctor, within a team of highly capable professionals, who modestly, and very, very capably, are armed with the exceptional skills to get you walking again. Issues which arose amidst my treatment for my ACL came to light solely, as a result of Stephen Guy, his decision of Physiotherapy before looking at surgery was the perfect decision. To my mind, a surgeon who has the modesty and lack of ego, as Stephen Guy does, to recognize the most effective route to 'fix' his patients, to show attention to detail in respect of all areas of that patients health, and be committed to the level of care he provides at all times, shows forethought, and exceptional ability as an excellent Doctor. Mr Stephen Guy is, to my mind, the very, very best surgeon I could have had, and can be trusted 100% to provide the very best care to put you right, I will remember him for ever, and can say without doubt, he saved my life and because of him I now walk again. If I ever need a knee surgeon I want no other than Stephen Guy. Thank you.
I’ve received an excellent standard of care from Mr Guy and his team, from assessment through to post op. I don’t have any criticism for the care I have received, Mr Guy provided a high standard of care as he explained the procedure in a manner that was understandable. This put me at ease and gave me every confidence in his ability. My procedure has done exactly what he said and I am now pain free.
Mr guy helped me massively with my knee, I have had 2 operations and he was very professional and helpful. He is a very good doctor, he makes sure you understand full well what’s going on and that you are happy before and after the care.
Mr Guy is a caring professional who has his patients welfare at heart. From my initial appointment to surgery Mr Guy and his secretary were everything you wish the NHS to be. I am very grateful for the care and brilliant medical attention afforded me.
The Yorkshire Clinic is a wonderful place for anyone needing knee replacement surgery.
Absolutely superb, second time I've had a knee arthroscopy with Mr Guy, the second with a few with a few extra elements. Talks you through the full process and puts you completely at ease, knee feels the best it has done for years and can now play football again worry free. I will only see Mr Guy if I need any future operations.
