I am a transgender male with a uterus and have had ongoing gynaecological pain for over 15 years without ever really being "heard" by a medical professional. Mr Amirchetty was extremely respectful, kind and caring. He really listened and it was the first time I had come out of an appointment of this kind feeling genuinely cared for. He is a credit to his profession and I'm grateful that he works for our NHS.

The doctor took his time to explain things to me, he was very patient and he never gave up on me, and he has a respect for life. After the procedure, he came to see me twice; morning and evening. He explained to me what was done and what could be done in the future if I so wish. What was brilliant, is that he came to see me the day of my discharge to examine me to ensure that I was really for discharge. I would have given him 100 stars if I could, and paid to see him.

I first met Mr S Amirchetty on 6 May 2022 at Nottingham City Hospital, before that we had a lot of very bad experiences in the hospital. So when we met Mr Amirchetty, he was amazing, he spoke to us like we were somebody. He was very caring, he listened, he explained everything to us. Through out my journey he did everything that needed to be done. Then eventually I had surgery on 1 August 2023, Mr Amirchetty and his team did an amazing job and 11 days on, I just want to thank him for giving me my life back. Mr Amirchetty on behalf of myself and my Mum, we thank you. You are a credit to your profession. Again thank you.

I have been under Dr Amirchetty's care for the past two years. He listened to all my concerns and explained everything in detail and reassured me every step of the way. I had my surgery in March and felt reassured and confident that the procedure had been fully explained. I would like to thank Dr Amirchetty and his team for all the care they gave me.

From the very outset Dr Amirchetty was a professional, considerate and compassionate surgeon. Throughout the whole process he was willing to listen to my thoughts and concerns, and communicate with me about every aspect of the surgery and what would be involved. Dr Amirchetty did everything within his power to ensure that my surgery was a success. I felt completely reassured during the entire journey of his care for me as a patient; he is a doctor who is willing to listen to the patient, and show great respect for their wishes. For the operation itself, he and his team did more than I even had hoped for, and I already feel the positive effects a short time afterwards. I am truly thankful for what Dr Amirchetty has done to improve the quality of my life.
