Spencer Harland is an exceptional consultant and gentleman, I spent 3 years in total pain, I was referred to him by my surgery, he immediately picked on the problems by looking at scans I had already had done in hospital. We funded the operation ourselves and would do it again in a heart beat he got me my every day life back on track!!!

Spencer is e a man who I hold in exceptionally high regards. Throughout 2015/2016 I had a herniated disc and struggled with day to day life. I finally plucked up the courage to see him under my Bupa care. He was simply outstanding, trustworthy and most importantly treated me as a human not just a patient or a number. Scans appointment and surgery booked. All went exceptionally well and after 2 years of agony, I walked into surgery hunched over and walked out the hospital the following day a new man. That was solely down to this guy. Unfortunately last week I've discovered a different disc has herniated. I've just had an emergency epidural. On the MRI the spinal specialist noted how good my l5/s1 disc was considering surgery. I suppose that's about the best it gets. I'm pretty sure Mr Harland operated on Jane torville too! A top gent who I owe alot to. Thanks Spencer.

I met Mr Harland in 2014. I had 3 herniated discs, and hesitated for years to get Infront of anyone I met him, and immediately, I knew I trusted him He told me that he could fix the issue, and it would be done From that moment..I trusted him I met Fraser Duncan the anaesthetist, who performed a epidural to show me what the surgery would bring. Mr Duncan is just as trusted and personable as Mr Harland and looked after me beyond my expectations. That epidural gave me a view back to my life of how it was, and then committed to having the surgery. Within a week, I was walking normally and outwardly looking as if I was perfectly fine. Within a month, I was fine. That, was years ago. Just so you all know, every doctor I've spoken to since, and said I've had back surgery, they asked who, when I've said Spencer Harland, they have all said. "Oh yes, he does very good work, and bet the scar is very tidy too" That's....who you want. Someone who has your back, literally! Ps If you're still undecided, he did Jane Torville back surgery, and if he's good enough for her....you're in safe hands. But as a person, he is truly a lovely gent, and you have zero to fear. If he can't help you, he will tell you. If he says he can fix, then trust him.

Lovely man that I saw just the other day at Queen Elizabeth hospital where I had been sent due to a large herniated spinal disc. He made a special effort to fit me in the next day despite a really long list with many patients with far more serious conditions than mine. I have been in agony for months and after he performed surgery it has gone from that to being a tiny bit sore, as if I had overdone it at a gym. Mr Harland is a complete gentleman and has given me my life back I couldn’t recommend him more
