Always gave me time to air my concerns. Always asked me questions about my health concerns and then listened to my replies. And then gave me confidence with his replies back. And always with a smiley face. Nothing seemed too much trouble for him.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer in June, I met Mr Ahmed on the morning of Sentinel Node Biopsy and Lumpectomy, he immediately put me at ease and explained the procedure in a professional and kind manner. I then had to go back to clinic for my results and he broke the news that I needed further tests and then a complete left side mastectomy. Again he explained everything in a kind and caring way, I felt completely safe in the knowledge that he knew what he was talking about. My husband was with me at every appointment and we are both amazed at the treatment we have received from Mr Ahmed and the team at the Breast Care Unit at Wycombe hospital. Everything he said, 'happened' and it all happened on time, they are amazing, caring and very professional. Thank you so much.

After all the bad press about the NHS I expected the worst when I had to go along to the breast unit at Wycombe hospital. I was surprised to find how well-run and pleasant it was and this was especially highlighted by my appointment with Mr Ahmed. Unlike so many physicians these days, he was unhurried, very caring and attentive, listened to me and answered all my questions in a reassuring manner. He has continued to provide honest and well-informed medical advice, and I have felt entirely able to trust him. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I saw Mr Ahmed at Wycombe recently and was delighted with how friendly and professional his manner was. I can't recommend him highly enough. I thankfully was 'in a good place' but would imagine his demeanour to be gratefully received by those in a more delicate condition. He was thorough, friendly but didn't seem to rush and brought the conversation instinctively to my level, explaining everything thoroughly. He is interaction with his nurse made it clear their working relationship would benefit any patient and I think he is a great asset to the unit and hospital as a whole.

Mr Farid Ahmed had time for me and treated me like a person. He was personable, professional and prepared to have an open, helpful discussion with me. He made suggestions to help reduce my chances of cancer recurring and to help my children avoid it. He gave good reasons for decisions. When examining me he was thorough but allowed me dignity and respect. I have only seen him one time but am most impressed with his skills, manner and conduct.
