Mr Ahmed performed a lumpectomy and lymph node removal on me on 9 April. Prior to the surgery he explained clearly the procedure I would experience and any after effects and the treatment I would probably receive after the operation. I had a small problem over the Easter holiday when a lump appeared on my arm which my GP said was a seroma. I rang the hospital on 22 April and Mr Ahmed saw me that afternoon and drained the lump. He explained clearly why this occurred. He also gave me the results of the histology results and went thoroughly through what further treatment I would need. He is also referring me to the oncologist at Mount Vernon. Mr Ahmed is a very caring doctor and explains everything in laymen's terms. I feel very confident that he has my interests at heart and that he will give me the best possible treatment and care.

Mr Ahmed was warm and welcoming but also very professional. He made my husband and I feel very comfortable and he pulled in the nurse assisting him, to sit and be a part of our conversation. He was thorough in explaining everything to us and he listened well and responded clearly - and in a way that was accessible and understandable. He answered all our questions and took time to ensure that we understood all possible implications of what he was sharing with us. I found him to be a most warm and gentle person - kind but also very knowledgeable . I left the consultation wishing that every consultant I came across could made me feel like I did at that moment.
