Mr. Smith performed a partial thyroidectomy on me on 22nd February. My apologies for not doing this sooner. Since then he has phone twice as follow ups. His explanation of everything was fantastic. He was aware that I was a Biology teacher and so at no time did he speak down to me. The operation was a success; I had no pain; the scar is hardly visible. I was so well cared for on the day unit that I told Mr. Smith it was like being on holiday with tea and toast being available as often as I wanted. The anesthetist was great and all the staff of the day unit were fantastic. I would have no problems if I had to have the rest of my thyroid removed.

Mr Smith performed parathyroid surgery in July this year at Broomfield Hospital and it was a complete success. He was considerate at my pre-op appointments and explained the procedure clearly to me and the operation day went very smoothly. The scar healed very well and the follow care was great. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Smith.

I was recommended to Mr Smith for a breast reduction via a family member who had the same procedure. From the moment I first met Mr Smith I felt that he completely understood how I felt, he understood my needs and what I wanted from surgery and did all of it with such understanding and compassion I felt completely at ease. I had my operation 3 weeks ago now and I honestly just cannot thank him enough, I feel like a completely new person, my quality of life has improved hugely already and I cannot wait to see the changes as I heal more. I honestly could not recommend Mr Smith more if I tried, what an amazing surgeon and man. I feel privileged to have had him carry out my surgery.
