My 14 year old daughter had nipple discharge and found a lump in her breast. I was so distraught and very anxious. The GP requested an urgent scan but sadly, on the NHS, they offered an appt for 4 weeks time. Myself & my husband couldn’t wait that long so we opted to go private and that’s when I found Simon on the web. We were offered an appointment the very next day which was such a relief. My daughter was very nervous and shy and I was just expecting the worst. The minute we met Simon we were put at ease. What a lovely, kind, funny man. He was so knowledgable and basically told us what was wrong with my daughter before even examining her/scanning her and he was right. He knows his stuff. I absolutely dreaded that appt but Simon was so great with my daughter, and us, that it turned out to be a relaxed experience. Thank you for everything. (The rest of the staff were really lovely too).

Mr. Smith is very professional He made me feel safe. He’s compassionate, caring and practical personalised care. Great consultation at the beginning, very smooth admission right through till I was discharged post surgery. He followed me up after the surgery, making sure everything was good and that I was doing well. I feel really lucky to have had him as a surgeon! Thank you Mr. Simon Smith, you are amazing!

Simon Smith is a charming man with a gentle manner who listened carefully to what I had to say and acted accordingly. Due to covid I had not met him before the day of the operation, but he put me completely at ease. He explained what he expected to happen before the operation and how it had all gone afterwards .He removed three and a half of my parathyroid glands and completely cured me of hyperparathyroidism. He ensured that there was a careful follow up after the operation and that I was happy with the outcome.

I had breast augmentation with Mr Smith and have found the care from him and all the team at Springfield Hospital superb. I had two appointments with Mr Smith and two appointments with the nurses prior to the surgery. My time in the hospital on the day of the surgery was excellent, with lovely clean facilities and lovely care. I then had a follow up appointment with the nurse a week after surgery and a follow up appointment with Mr Smith four weeks after surgery. I am extremely happy with the end results of the surgery and the scarring has been minimal. I would definitely recommend Mr Smith.

Dr Simon removed my thyroid at Broomfield Hospital August 2023. I am Extremely impressed from start to finish, Very pleasant and helpful doctor. I felt well informed on the benefits and risks of the treatment. Very helpful nice manner. My anxiety was through the roof and he comforted me and made me feel at ease He’s the man you want to have him perform your surgery you will be in the best hands. Can’t thank you enough I feel so much better.
