In 2008 I spent five months in the Royal London Hospital. I owe my existence and quality of life to the phenomenal expertise of the SS&KAA and the phenomenal skill and care from all the hospital staff. I suffered life threatening, life changing injuries and was cared for by a multidisciplinary team led by Prof Simon Holmes and Prof Simon Myers. The care I received was second to none. I will be eternally grateful that I was looked after by the wonderful Royal London staff who really made me feel worthy of all the care and attention I received.
