I was once in your position, reading these reviews before considering having weight loss surgery & seeing all the wonderful things that people were saying, thinking “is it really true”? Or maybe “it may have worked for them, but will it work for me”? Well I’ve come back on here to say that everything you’ve read is true & it does work! I had a gastric bypass with Dr Simon Monkhouse on 21st May 2022, @ Spire Gatwick Park & I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made. I have a Spire hospital in my local area, but after my free consultation with Simon, it was a no brainier for me to travel further afield to have my surgery done by him. There was no question that he did not answer, he is very approachable & always available when needed. I was taken care of very well upon my arrival at Gatwick Park, Simon even came to see me before surgery, just to go over the procedure & to see if I was ok. I can’t fail to mention his team of bariatric professionals that work alongside him, they have been superb and the aftercare is brilliant. I too can say like others have said - I wish I did it sooner. I’m not at my goal weight, but I feel like I’ve got my life back.

I had a gastric bypass on 04/05/2022 with some complications at the beginning which Mr Monkhouse and his team were ama big at dealing with. From the initial consultation and to this day him and his team are fantastic in supporting me. I wouid not hesitate to use Mr Monkhouse again and would 100% recommend him. My only regret like many others is that I didn’t have my surgery sooner

Mr Monkhouse leads a fantastic team and has given me a new lease of life. I walk briskly and don’t get flustered and breathless. My type 2 diabetes has reversed and I no longer take any medication for high cholesterol, high blood pressure or inhalers for asthma. I’ve lost 7 stone in 7 months and feel amazing. Mr Monkhouse and his team are highly recommended. I’ve already introduced a family member who had her op 2 months ago and a friend will contact the team soon as she’s amazed by my results. A professional polite gentleman who I owe my life too.

I had a private gastric bypass in March of this year. 100% best decision I have ever made and an even better team to of chosen. All of then are attentive, caring and friendly. For anyone considering weight loss surgery Simon should be your only choice.

This man and his team are incredible. I found him online after lots of research and opted to have a gastric bypass by him at the spire Gatwick hospital. The care before and after have been exceptional. The ability to contact Simon or a member of the team and get a response (most of the time instantly) was so reassuring both pre and post op. I’m nearly two years post op 8 stone down and at goal weight. I am so very thankful to Simon and the team. Thank you for changing my life, and keeping me on the path with your aftercare.
