From my first meeting with Mr Ellis I was completely put at ease. Everything was explained carefully to me and not rushed and I felt confident in going ahead with the operation. I thought that to telephone me personally the night before, and to telephone my husband straight after my operation were lovely touches.

From the very first appointment, I felt Doctor my Ellis my consultant, took time to understand the damage to my knee, he carefully listen to me regarding my knee problems. From my very first visit and up to to the operation, I felt I couldn't be in better hands, I felt very confident in doctors Ellis's professional experience and human approach, even to the point of taking the time to phone my wife as soon as he had finished the procedure with regards to the surgery on my knee, which I would say was testament to the expertise and the caring nature of an expert consultant.

Mr Simon Ellis put me at ease from the very beginning, identifying what the problem was with my right knee to what course of treatments I could receive to help and rectify the problem. After the initial course of cortisone injections to reduce swelling we decided that surgery was the best way forward. Mr Ellis was absolutely flawless from beginning to end and always on hand to put my mind at ease both before and after surgery.

Mr Simon Ellis is one of the South East's leading knee surgeons. He has over 25 years’ experience as a consultant based in Kent. Simon has a very simple but important mission statement "I give the same quality of care to my patients as I would want my family and friends to receive". Simon prides himself on communication. He believes that listening, explaining knee problems in understandable terms and ensuring that patients have all the information needed to make their own management decisions is essential. Simon's base is now the Spire Alexandra Hospital, Walderslade where he is able to cover most areas of Kent. Simon specialises in knee sports injuries which include meniscal and ligament issues as well as the management of knee arthritis.
Simon was appointed as the Medical Advisory Committee chair at the Spire Alexandra Hospital in March 2020 a role within the management team to oversee the quality of care in the hospital.
