I had a knee replacement performed by Mr Cockshott ("Mr C") in August 2024. He performed an MAU in Novrmber 2024. I fell and broke same leg in December 2024 and had another MAU in March 2025. I am still having treatment and can honestly say this man has the patience of a saint with me. Despite probably being a nightmare patient with really bad luck he always puts on a smile and is kind and puts me at ease. I have other health problems mainly fibromyalgia as well as osteoarthritis and these probably don't help my healing but he never gives up and always sees me when he says he will and does his best. I am so grateful to him and trust he does the best for everyone. Despite everything I have been through and the many times I have really had enough, I trust him enough to remain with him until this leg is right for him to replace my other knee too which really says a lot. Thoroughly recommended.

On March 6 th 2025 I went into the Nuffield Hospital to have a full knee replacement. I was extremely nervous about this as I'd never been in hospital before for any kind of surgery. Right from the beginning when I met Mr Cockshott he made me feel at ease, explained everything about the operation to me , in his words " The good The Bad ,and The Ugly , to which I replied ," I've seen that film it's very good " . The operation went very well ,and everyone I dealt with whilst in the Nuffield I can't say highly enough about.I would recommend Mr Cockshott , and would like him to do my other knee if it's needed in the future . Lovely, lovely guy.

Simon is and always has been the most understanding person in the Orthopedic department. I have known Mr Cockshot for a very long time and he has always had time for his patients even when the clock is ticking. I have met some rude registrar’s in my time but I have always trusted Mr Cockshot to keep me informed about the situation and I would say that anyone who is referred to him is in good and experienced hands. I am always going to remain in the system due to my osteoarthritis but I have faith in the ability of the surgeons no matter who they may be. Even though Mr Cockshot was rushing around he kept his promise to see me when I had my knee replacement under a different surgeon and I was so grateful for his time and empathy.

A top man. Clearly a dedicated professional modern thinking individual delivering many procedures at pace with an exceptional bedside manner. He has done one total knee replacement for me so far and I hope to have a second one done in the near future. This is a difficult procedure that takes time to recover from and clearly considerable skill to perform proficiently. At all times I have found he continually informed me of my options. He also strikes me as being an inspirational leader, his team clearly respect him and hold him in high regard. Paul Batty.

I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Cockshott, he is a great guy, when I eventually got to see him, he was nice, friendly, sympathetic and pushed my treatment along.
