Mr. Shankar performed total knee replacement on my left knee. He assessed me and performed the procedure sooner than I expected. He was polite, friendly courteous and professional throughout. He kept me informed during my stay and arranged my follow up meeting and physio appointments promptly. I would like to thank Mr. SHANKAR and recommended him unreservedly.

From the first consultation to the day of operation Mr Shivakumar was very caring and clear about the procedure. He explained the potential risks and the most likely positive outcome of the operation. I am pleased to have been under his care as the operation has been a great success.

I had a unicompartmental Knee Replacement at King George Hospital on 19th July 2023, performed by Mr. Shankar. My treatment by the hospital staff and Mr. Shankar was first class. My twelve week follow up had to be cancelled due to illness. I had my follow up today (16/1/2024) with Mr. Shankar at Queens Hospital. He is a very pleasant man, who takes time to explain things and listens to you as a patient. My operation was a complete success, and has changed my life. I am back playing football and going to the gym. I would highly recommend this Consultant . I would also like to say a big thank you to the COPE team of nurses who visited me at home to change my dressings and make me do my exercises. Hard taskmasters, lovely personalities and wonderful nurses. My whole experience with Mr. Shankar and all of his team was extremely pleasant. Thank you to you all.

My care through out my initial AE visit, followed by my return visits and having the plate fitted in my wrist on Nov 7th, the care and attention has been exemplary at all levels and I am very grateful to have been treated so well by all staff at Queens Hospital. Mr Shankar was excellent in giving me confidence going forward, thank you.

I found Mr Shankar to be very polite and approachable. At my hospital visit on 4th Jan he explained in detail, with X-ray images, the procedure I had been through and filled me with confidence regarding the success of the surgery. I underwent surgery in Sept and could not praise Mr Shankar and his surgical team enough for the support and reassurance they gave throughout the procedure( I have to admit I was terrified as I went into theatre). I am very happy with the service I have received from Mr Shankar
