I had the Gastric Sleeve performed by Mr Awad with Tonic Weight loss on the 10th November 2023 at Burcott Hall in Bromsgrove. Mr Awad and all of his team were professional and caring during my stay ensuring I was well and recovering as I should be following my surgery. They listened to be before the operation and gave excellent advice and guidance on the best way to get the best outcomes from surgery. The after care team have been 2nd to none providing advice and support through my recovery and 3 months down I am already 4 and a half stone down and feeling excellent. This change has really changed my life for the better and I would recommend Mr Awad and Tonic to anyone who is interested in weight loss surgery.

Mr Awad was the kindest and most professional consultant I spoke to when considering gastric sleeve surgery. His reputation is fantastic and his caring bedside manner were faultless. He answered my questions I had about the gastric sleeve and gave pros and cons of both the gastric sleeve and gastric bypass and also have recommended watching on YouTube about the surgery. He is very approachable in asking questions even on the day of surgery and will explain it in a way that you can understand. In theatres and post op he ensured comfort by explaining who was in the operating theatre and why they were there and post op making sure that the pain killers were prescribed. He also showed pictures of the stomach being removed and the staples in place and explained how and why he had done what he had done. He also supplied leaflets on the post op care I needed prior to the operation so that I could understand what I needed to do. Mr Awad has changed my life doing the gastric sleeve for the better. His bedside manner is fantastic and the knowledge and information that he will pass onto patients and their families about the procedures are brilliant. My husband had no problems understanding what I needed pre and post op. I would recommend Mr Awad very much
