The initial consultation with Mr Awad via Tonic was thorough and informative. Mr Awad had already sent some information videos regarding the options for my surgery which meant I had a good understanding of the procedure, recovery time and pre-op preparation that was required prior to our conversation. Mr Awad has a lovely manner and puts you at ease. Immediately prior to surgery, I met with Mr Awad as well as the anaesthetist who both ran through what would happen before, during and after surgery. The nurses at the hospital commented that Mr Awad is renowned for being thorough and detailed in all that he does with very specific instructions for post op to ensure an excellent recovery. I followed his instructions and can honestly say that I have sailed through the process with no issues as a result. Follow up care has been excellent and 10 weeks post op I am 3 stone lighter. Starting weight was 15 stone. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mr Awad and Tonic to anyone considering WLS.

Dr Awad Was amazing he was so lovely from the word go, as you can feel quite stressed walking into the unknown, but he made me feel total calm even to last minute when I walked in to the theatre, the after care has been amazing too, he was quite thoughtful to, always happy to support any questions that I might have. Mr Awad also confirmed if he was to find anything whilst operating he would deal with that to, when he was completing the gastric sleeve, he noticed that I had a very enlarged fattie liver and he had taken photos of this to show me, this was because I was so overweight at the time of the operation, I got really upset and he said don’t get upset this will repair it’s self over time, and he also showed me photos of my insides it was totally amazing. all I could think off was how he had changed my life, I’m already down 5.5 stone since the end of August till today date 17 Jan 2024, I feel like a new person and so much healthier too so thank so much, I also recommend a friend and her was a total success too, thank you to the whole team. I totally would recommend Dr Awad to anyone who asked and just to confirm it the best thing I have ever done.

I cannot rate the care and attention received from Mr Awad and Tonic highly enough! From the initial consultation for weight loss surgery through to the procedure itself and beyond into aftercare, Mr Awad made me feel at ease, explained everything in detail and answered any questions I had - he is very thorough but also very efficient. Mr Awad has also been great with setting my expectations for the results of my surgery but also giving information and tips to get the most out of it. Surgery with Mr Awad was the best decision I ever made, I feel in control of my own body and comfortable in my own skin for the first time since I can remember, thank you Mr Awad (and Tonic)!

Mr Awad was recommended by another surgeon as one of the top bariatric surgeons in the uk. When I had my first consultation with him I knew he was the surgeon I wanted for my surgery. He was so professional, knowledgeable kind and supportive. We discussed my options and I decided to go with a gastric sleeve. I am now 14 weeks post up and have lost 3 stone 9 pounds in total so far and hope to loose more. My care from Mr Awad and Tonic have been excellent it's the best decision I have ever made.
