Mr Shanks Gurjar is the ultimate professional - the operation he performed on me has had a major positive effect on my life, having endured the issue for many years. His bedside manner was very comforting too. He is a credit to L&D and the NHS as a whole.

I was seen by Mr Gurjar on 5th Jan and I was very pleased by his professional interaction. He sent his report to me the same day. He ordered a spine MRI that I had within days - though I would like to receive a copy of the results of this myself as I am still on codeine for severe pain for fractures to T11 and T12. He has also booked me in for a CT scan for my gut but I have heard no more of that, although I have been sent a follow-on appointment to speak to him again. On 6th Jan I left a stool sample at my surgery and was later told it was normal, but I have not seen that report. My question is - am I going to have a gut CT scan before I next see Mr Gurjar on 15th Feb?

I chose Mr Gurjar from a list of Consultants provided by BUPA based on his Profile. From booking the initial appointment to undergoing a scan and then procedure, I was treated with utmost professionalism and dignity. Nothing was too much trouble, all questions were answered thoroughly by Mr Gurjar or his Secretary, Denise, and every interaction was followed up promptly in writing. Most importantly I felt they both took time to listen to me and made suggestions so that I could make decisions about my care. Thank you.
