MR. JAUNOO MADE SURE I WAS AWARE OF ALL THE POSSIBLE RISKS/AFTER EFFECTS OF MY FIRST OPERATION AT 94, MAJOR SURGERY FOR A TWISTED BOWEL. HE WAS VERY ATTENTIVE, HONEST AND ALWAYS RESPECTFUL OF MY FEELINGS AND THOSE OF MY DAUGHTER WHO ATTENDED A&E WITH ME AS I WAS BEING CARED FOR. THE CARE HE GAVE BEFORE THE OP AND DURING MY RECOVERY WAS EXEMPLARY, I FELT REASSURED BY HIM AND WAS VERY HAPPY TO ATTEND HIS OUTPATIENTS THIS WEEK WHERE HE DISCHARGED ME - HE MADE ME VERY RELIEVED TO FIND OUT THAT I WAS WELL ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY. MR JAUNOO HAS A VERY CARING AND PROFESSIONAL WAY WITH HIS PATIENTS AND IS A GOOD MAN. HE HELPED ME THROUGH WHAT WAS A FRIGHTENING EXPERIENCE FOR ME. THANK YOU MR. JAUNOO.

I can honestly say that without Mr Jaunoo and his team, my father would not be alive today. My father was admitted to the Worcester Royal hospital on the 02/06/19 and after several scans, blood tests etc, he was diagnosed with Stomach Cancer. A conference meeting was held on 02/06/19 and this was when we met Mr Jaunoo. He had my father transferred to Gloucestershire Royal that evening and on 13/06/19 my father had major surgery under Mr Jaunoo and his team. My father had 80% of his stomach removed. Mr Jaunoo and his team successfully operated on my father. During my fathers recovery Mr Jaunoo kept my father well informed of how his recovery would be. While Mr Jaunoo was away on holiday he kept in touch with the hospital and it was while he was away my fathers results came through. Mr Jaunoo took time out of his holiday to tell my father that he had removed all the cancer. Today was our official appointment to have the results confirmed. Once again Mr Jaunoo confirmed that he had been able to remove all the cancer and that chemotherapy would not be required. We were told that if at any time we had a problem or a doubt he was only a phone call away. For me and my mom Mr Jaunoo and his team saved my fathers life. I would fully recommend this surgeon to everyone. Obviously he is unable to save everyone, but I know he goes in with complete confidence doing his best to save people. I cannot thank Mr Jaunoo enough. My father was treated extremely well at both the Worcester Royal where he was admitted, and then the Gloucestershire Royal where he had his operation and recovery period. All staff work extremely hard with some very difficult patients. Well done to all. Thank you Mr Jaunoo for saving my dad.

Mr Jaunoo saved my life on the day of my twin sons birth. I had been misdiagnosed by the maternity unit to the brink of loosing my life and the life of my twins. Mr Jaunoo operated on me to remove a bowel obstruction and to save my life after my twins were delivered at 31weeks due to the obstruction. If it hadn’t been for his skill I may not be here today with my family. He was kind, explained everything to me after the operation, I never felt rushed when asking him questions. A wonderful man and surgeon. I will never forget him or what he did for me and my family.

It is fair to say, we all want great care, we may worry that if we attend a hospital with the NHS suffering from its many problems, that we may not get the care we need. In my own case, I was admitted to Gloucester Royal Hospital on the 20th October 2018 with a perforated gall bladder, abscess on the liver, sepsis with high inflammatory markers, a bladder infection, and they discovered lesions on the adrenal glands. My condition deteriorated badly and I became very poorly, the sepsis caused hallucinations and paranoia, I was taken to intensive care, then the following day under the direction and supervision of Mr Jaunoo a radiologist inserted two drains into my gall bladder, this procedure in all probability saved my life. And I cannot thank Mr Jaunoo and the radiologist enough for their skill and diagnosis. Following my recovery I found Mr Jaunoo to be a very professional consultant, but also a very humble man, for when my wife thanked him for saving my life, he humbly gave credit to his team. When discussing further options which required more surgery, the information was presented in a calm way, but he also made it understandable presenting the information in a factual straightforward manner, which also had the effect of putting you at ease, this gives me the confidence that the further surgery I have to face will be done to the best of his ability. He has this ability to make you feel that you are more than just any patient, that you are in fact his only patient. It is with grateful thanks that my wife and I wish to commend Mr Jaunoo and his team for the great care I received. Joseph & Dorothy Shaughnessy
