Written by a carer at The John Radcliffe
26th September 2018

Our daughter, 5, was blue lighted to John Radcliffe with a brain tumour the size of an apple. On arrival we were met in A&E by Mr Magdum. I was a parent absolutely petrified and can say that after speaking in depth with Mr Magdum he made me feel that my daughter was in the safest hands possible (I have no idea how and trust very few people with my children). He did not tell us what we wanted to hear but did tell us what we needed to hear. Our daughter was operated on over two days by Mr Magdum (the first day went on far too long and for safety reasons (exhaustion) was not safe to continue) This was obviously very difficult for us to hear after day one but looking back the disappointment was clear to see on Mr Magdums face however his professionalism was clear. At all times I felt that Mr Magdum was professional and also had a clear passion for what he has trained in and does so well. If I know anyone that has to meet with Mr Magdum in his professional capacity I could honestly say hand on heart they are in the safest hands possible. How this man sleeps at night I have no idea I am just glad he keeps going!
