Excellent care from a very professional consultant with a very caring and friendly manor, I can't fault his team and the whole of Lewisham Hospital. The care I received was superb and everything explained in great detail and made in feel confident and relaxed. In the future I will need my other knee replaced also and I only want Hr Shah Punwar and his team to do it. I have utter confidence in him.

Mr Punwar explained what would happen during my replacement and how it would effect my walking afterwards. I felt in very good hands throughout the whole experience. I am now looking forward to getting my other knee replaced in the not too distant future.

Mr Punwar and his team at Lewisham, have been fantastic. From the moment I was referred by my GP, due to severe knee pain in my left knee, caused by debilitating arthritis, I felt assured that he was going to provide me with the right options and care. Everything was explained. The x-rays showed I needed a new, partial knee replacement. Leading up to the surgery, on the morning of the Op and post operative, I have been very impressed by the care provided. I visited Mr Puwar due to pain in my right knee. Following a diagnosis of a ruptured meniscus i was booked in for an orthroscopy and a meniscectomy. I am extremely happy both with Mr Punwar and the work he has done on my knee. For the first time in a year i am not in constant pain. The recovery from the surgery was really quick too. Mr Punwar is very friendly and easy to talk to. He is very knowledgeable and definitely knows his stuff regarding knees. He explains everything clearly and in a way that can be understood. I was super happy with his bedside manner too as he came and saw me a couple of hours after my surgery while i was in recovery and he explained exactly what he had done and that everything went to plan during the procedure. Mr Punwar's secretarial team are very good too and quick to respond to any emails and requests. Overall, I would highly recommend Mr Punwar for anything knee related.
