I contacted Mr Trikha after being diagnosed with a complete ACL rupture in my left knee after playing football. I am an active 23 year old female and considering I have played football at an international standard and I was keen to maintain a very active and healthy lifestyle, I really wanted a surgeon with a lot of experience treating athletes. Mr Trikha was very open and honest about what my next steps would be. He recommended that I have reconstructive surgery and a lateral extra-articular tenodesis (LET) as well to decrease my chances of suffering a re-rupture. He outlined that the recovery would be tougher and I would be left with a bigger scar but given his confident experience in this area, I felt at ease that this was the right decision. Mr Trikha booked me in for surgery at a private hospital within the following two weeks even though he already had a very busy schedule. The surgery went really well and just six weeks after surgery, I already have full extension and flexion. If you are looking for a confident, experienced, and friendly surgeon, I could not recommend Mr Trikha and his team enough.

Active 48 year old who has been regularly running but during lockdown in April suffered from right knee pain and swelling. Initially went down the physio route but after 4 months the knee was getting worse in terms of pain. I was referred to Mr Trikha and in a matter of days has an MRI and was booked for surgery (cross tear of the meniscus) which took place in mid-October 2020. Mr Trikha was very careful to set out the options open to me but ultimately I decided to go down the surgical route. Having had an ACL repair on my left knee I was concerned about the rehab required but Mr Trikha assured me I would be able to walk after surgery, and he was absolutely right! It has been just over 3 weeks after surgery and I am, walking freely and the knee is recovering very well. I received excellent care from Mr Trikha (New Victoria Hospital and Prime Health Weybridge) as well as the Schoen Clinic where the operation took place. I would highly recommend Mr Trikha.

I injured my knee playing football and was lucky enough to see Mr Trikha at the local NHS hospital, fortunately I had private cover through my school and so subsequently continued to see Mr Trikha privately. I was diagnosed, after an MRI with an MCL, possible ACL injury. Mr Trikha took a really measured approach, not jumping straight to a surgical solution. I was referred by Mr Trikha to be fitted with a knee brace by Dave at Activ8 Rehab, and also Tom Williams, a fantastic physio, also at Activ8. Tom gave great advice and treatment and went through a weekly strengthening regime. The result of this holistic approach was a total recovery, without the need for surgery in a total of about 8 weeks - I am delighted! I have now been signed off as completely fit and advised to continue rebuilding strength and fitness. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Trikha and the talented professionals that he works with to find a solution.

I am a very active 55 year old Hockey player with a history of Knee problems. Initially I had a Whats ap phone consultation due to lockdown in April - Mr Trikha listened to me and even managed to see my knee well enough to advise getting a brace to try and reduce the swelling and pain that I had had for 6 months. Within 4 days of wearing brace the swelling had almost gone allowing me to be more active and prepare for surgery once restrictions on hospitals were lifted. He followed up with face to face in June and then scheduled me in for Meniscus surgery on 4th July. I have left it this long to write a review to show how far I have come. Its 16 weeks since surgery I am running/rowing and gyming every day pretty much pain free - this week I was planning to go back to Hockey Training. I would definately recommend Mr Trikha and will be booking in to see him with the other Knee in the future.

I am 55 and have been very active since I was very young, football squash running etc. I had 3 arthroscopy’s between 35 and 45,by the time I was 55 my right knee was in a terrible state. My regular Osteopath recommended I see Mr Trikha about a replacement. I saw him in July 2020 and arranged the operation for September. Subsequently I had a few reservations and a few questions ,Mr Trikha took time to call me and answer any issues. I had the operation at Woking Nuffield.(where I could not speak highly enough of the Docter’s and staff) On the day Mr Trikha and his team were fantastic putting me at ease and caring for me (particularly as I was delayed over some virus testing issues). It’s been nearly 4 weeks now and I am very pleased with the outcome,I have worked very hard on the rehab,I am not to far from full extension and gently used a turbo trainer this morning. I would totally recommend Mr Trikha and his team to anybody thinking about an operation such as this. Richard Page Petts Wood
