Mr Trikha first saw me at St Peters hospital, where he diagnosed me correctly without even needing an MRI (he didn't realise one had already been done), and was able to immediately confirm his diagnosis. He then gave me every opportunity to ask questions, explained what a PCL rupture meant in clear terms, and recommended I try physic to mitigate my symptoms. When I then saw him several months later privately, as my symptoms had not resolved, he was realistic and provided me with a very level-headed assessment of my situation, enabling me to decide to go ahead with the surgery. Once I had decided, he made every effort to ensure I had the surgery at a time most suitable for me, as I had an important field trip that I would need to be recovered for. Within 2 working days I was in surgery, which went well and enabled me to recover over Christmas. Mr Trikha was firm about my limits in the acute phase post-surgery (especially when I wanted to do more than would have been wise), and very efficient when I returned for a post-op assessment 4 weeks later. He is the epitome of professionalism, and my knee now has (4 months on - I had PCL and PLC reconstruction using my own hamstrings) full range of movement, I'm back in the gym and working on strengthening my muscles in order to be able to make pre-season training! I really can't thank him enough for his work, my knee feels great, and I've got a beautifully neat scar!
