Dr Khemani removed our son's tonsils. He was excellent at all stages, from first appointment to last. His care along that of his team whilst our son was in hospital was first class. We could not recommend him more highly.

Mr. Khemani was great with our on. He explained all procedures thoroughly. We never doubted that what we were doing for our son was absolutely right. On the day of his surgery we were welcomed and given all the information we needed. During the procedure and post recovery we were looked after by Mr. Khemani and the team at Gatwick Park hospital. Most importantly the surgery was a success and has benefitted our son.

I took my little boy to see Dr Khemani when he was 2 years old because he was struggling to eat and stay focused with meals, dribbled excessively all of the time and snored chronically. I just wanted to check everything was okay, specifically over the eating issues. It turns out my son had very enlarged adanoids and tonsils. Mr Khemani suggested a treatment with steroid nose drops and then a lower dosage spray to try to shrink the adanoids and tonsils making it easier for my son to break through his nose and eat more easily. After several months of routinely administering the medication it had little effect. After almost a year of trying to sort the issue without surgery Mr Khemani advised that he thought surgery was the only real way or making a tangible change to my little boy. He informed us of all of the risk (of which there was very little due to the new and amazing procedure he uses where you dissolve the tonsils and adanoids rather than cutting and removing,) and gave us details of where we could find information to help us make an informed desicion about whether or not to go ahead with surgery. There was no pressure, just information. He checked my sons hearingn too and it was discovered he has glue ear and was under average with his hearing tests. Just after my son turned three he had the operation and it has been life changing. The results are incredible and in a short space of time my son has stopped snoring and dribbling all together. His attitude to food is unrecognisable and I can’t fill him up! Mr Khemani was so kind to my little boy at every meeting. He was really good at speaking to him and explaining things to me. Ultimately, on the day of surgery he was really reassuring and very relaxed and calm about the procedure. We were made to feel like it was all very routine and there was no drama at all. As it so happens it transpired my little boy had adanoids that were so big they were blocking 80% of his nasal passage and his glue ear was so severe in one ear he would have been practically deaf in that ear. Mr Khamani said that the operation would be life changing for my son and it really has been. I’m so glad we see Mr Khamani early and took the action we did when we did to avoid any behavioural issues further down the line. I feel like we explored all the options thoroughly before embarking on surgery. Nothing was rushed, nothing was ignored, everything was monitored and taken into co side ration before reaching a full al assesment. I’m very grateful for the care and attention my little boy received.

Mr Khemani was very helpful and saw us quickly after we'd been referred. He explained our options clearly and effectively, and the operation itself was straightforward and successful. He came into the hospital room while our daughter was still in recovery to update us and saw us again a few weeks' later to check all had gone smoothly.

I visited Mr Khemani after repeated bouts of tonsillitis and more recently a serious peritonsillar abscess. During my initial consultation Mr Khemani explained the procedures available including risks of bleeding etc. He also was clear that recovery is typically more challenging for an adult compared to a child patient, when most of these procedures are undertaken. He listened to my questions and concerns addressing them all. After giving me the opportunity to consider the options we booked in for a hybrid intracapsular and extracapsular tonsillectomy due to the nature of scarring from my recent peritonsillar abscess. His guidance on how I would recover in the immediate two weeks post operation was helpful and accurate. I was able to return to work after two weeks and now, 6 weeks post operation, I am back to exercising at a good level (>130km bike rides) with no complications.
