I consulted with Mr Sachin Salvi with a reference from my optician for a lower lid entropion on my right eye. His professional, accurate assessment and detailed and balanced explanation both of the cause and the procedure needed left me in no doubt that here was a experienced, competent surgeon and I had no difficulty in accepting his offer to operate the next week. As well as his professional abilities, Mr Salvi also has a good sense of very positive humour making the patient very relaxed. The operation was carried out without a hitch and with a 'well oiled' and competent team and in exactly the time frame he said. He wasted no time but I was relaxed and trusted him throughout. Two weeks later I had the follow up to remove stitches, again very skillfully and without a hitch. Very pleased, very thankful and I would have no difficulty at all in recommending Mr Salvi and using him myself again if need be.

This was my second procedure under Mr Sachin Salvi, after the first one in 2017. Once again I received great care and attention under Mr Salvi and his team, from my first appointment, throughout the procedure, and was finally signed off the following week. A seamless experience. Absolutely brilliant Consultant-explained everything in great detail, unhurried in Outpatients and really reassuring and lovely during surgery. Very kind, compassionate and down-to-earth. I had cataract extraction and bilateral Symphony lenses inserted. Having had years of wearing Varifocals I can now see all distances and read without glasses! Overjoyed! I would totally recommend consulting him. There is no need to be nervous of surgery-Mr Salvi talked to me throughout. I wish I had consulted him years ago!

After retiring from work recently I decided to address the problem with my drooping upper eye lids which had gradually become more pronounced as the years passed. I did extensive and detailed research in order to find the best possible specialist eye surgeon operating privately in and around the Sheffield region. My youngest daughter who is a doctor in Sheffield highly recommended Mr Salvi to carry out the procedure. This led led me to contacting Thornbury Hospital and an appointment with Mr Salvi. During my initial consultation with Mr Salvi, I explained my upper eye lid problem and how I wanted to look after having the procedure done. He was very understanding and explained in great detail what the operation entailed and how my face and appearance would look afterwards. His attention to detail was very impressive and I had no doubt in my mind that I wanted Mr Salvi to carry out the operation. A date was set and I attended Thorbury Hospital a couple of hours before the operation. The hospital staff were very friendly and supportive and regularly came into my room to check if I needed anything. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I walked down to theatre in a very calm and relaxed mood and was welcomed by Mr Salvi and his team. He again explained what was going to happen and once the local anesthetic had been administered the operation started. Apart from a slight discomfort initially from the needles, I felt no pain or discomfort whatsoever. The operation was completed in the time frame Mr Salvi had quoted and in approximately 90 minutes the procedure was fully completed. I personally thought the time had passed by very quickly. Mr Salvi told me he was very happy how the operation had gone and soon after I was taken back to my room to recover. I was frequently checked by a nurse to make sure I was comfortable and not in any pain, which I wasn't and within an hour the dressings had been removed, my medication, tablets and antibiotic cream was given to me and I was taken home by my wife. Even though my eyelids were slightly swelled, the difference in my appearance was very positive and exactly what I wanted. In the days and weeks following the operation the swelling went down and I am very pleased with the results. It has made my face look brighter and fresher and has given me much more confidence in my appearance. I had a follow up appointment with My Salvi a couple of weeks after the operation to have any remaining sutures removed and to check how my scars were healing. He said everything had gone extremely well and my scars were almost invisible, even after only two weeks. Every day and week that passes the results of the procedure become even more impressive and is exactly how I wanted my eyelids to look. Gone are the drooping lids which made me look tired and aged. I am so pleased I had the procedure done and I cannot recommend Mr Salvi and his team highly enough. He's a brilliant surgeon! Thank you Mr Salvi.
