Mr Connell was kind, listened and reassured me. I would not hesitate to recommend him or return to him should the need arise.

Mr Connell is extremely approachable. He explains everything in layman's terms and has no issue in repeating anything if you do not understand. He has a great bedside manner with a good sense of humour, which makes you feel at ease - perhaps he should train other doctors and consultants! He exudes confidence which in turn makes you feel safe and secure that all will be well. He listens to any concerns and answers any questions you may have I would recommend him to anyone and have nothing but praise for him.

I saw Mr Connell to discuss some complications post-birth. I was looking forward to the appointment after reading about how kind, considerate and friendly he was. Unfortunately this was not my experience. Mr Connell has a very dry sense of humour and he cracked at least 20 jokes during the appointment. Perhaps he intends to put his patients at ease with these jokes, however this had the opposite effect on me. I found it uncomfortable joking about a condition that has been very stressful for me. But more importantly, I didn’t receive a clear explanation from Mr Connell and I left the appointment feeling confused and bewildered, rather than reassured. Dissatisfied with my experience, I decided to get a second opinion and finally received the clarity and empathy that I was hoping Mr Connell would provide. Instead of trying to prove he’s a comedian, I think Mr Connell should focus on providing professional and empathetic care for this patients.
