MD, MRCS (Edin), PhD Aesthetic Fellow Plastic Surgeon Rohit graduated from St George’s University, Grenada, West Indies in 2000. With links to the USA, St Georges University enabled him to work in both the United Kingdom and United States, thus gaining experience in two major health care systems. In 2000 Rohit returned to the UK and started his surgical training at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust. After successfully attaining his basic surgical training and Membership to the Royal College of Surgeons he began training solely in Plastic Surgery from 2005. He has worked at a number of prestigious plastic surgery units through his training, beginning at University Hospital of North Midlands, Stoke Mandeville Hospital (Aylesbury), and St Thomas’ Hospital (London). He then took time out to carry out extensive research at the Institute of Cancer Research and Royal Marsden Hospital – the largest and most comprehensive cancer centre in Europe. He was awarded his PhD in microsurgical reconstruction using gene therapy and his work lead to several high profile publications and awards.
