Mr Jain gave clear and honest advice on my options prior to surgery. His sense of calmness instilled trust from the first time I met him. He operated on me providing a total hip replacement six weeks ago. I was out of hospital within 24 hours and had absolutely no problem with healing of my scar and was provided with good medication and physiotherapy to help recovery. He has provided full information on my condition at my check up with a further check in place. I have been grateful to be pain free.

HIP REPLACEMENT From the first meeting I felt very comfortable that Mr Jain had my best outcome forefront in his mind. He fully advised my options, whether to have the operation or live with my condition. As active golfer I decided to go ahead with the procedure. Mr Jain advised a good pre operation routine which has proved to great assistant in my recovery. The staff at Nuffield were excellent, even though my stay was short in on the Saturday morning, out Sunday afternoon. A special mention to the Anesthetist whom kept me relax. My recovery is going to plan having just had my 6 week checkup, hopefully will start hitting balls shortly. Overall I would recommend anybody whom is considering a hip replacement to have the operation.

I was quite nervous before my first consultation with Rohit but he immediately put me at my ease with his warm, friendly and empathetic manner. We discussed the options for knee treatment but agreed that no decision should be made until we had both seen the x-rays and scans. On seeing the results, he explained very calmly and clearly what its condition was and we agreed that surgery and total knee replacement was the right option for me. (At no point, did I feel pressured- it was a joint decision). We also agreed that recovery depended on the patient’s willingness to participate in the recommended exercise regime post-op. I was very well looked after on the ward by all the nurses and staff I met and seen by both Rohit and the anaethesist before and after the operation to check I was comfortable. Not long after I woke following the procedure, two physiotherapists got me walking on crutches along corridors and up and down a flight of stairs. I was amazed how mobile I was. The after care continues with further consultations and physio appointments. I was greatly encouraged to be told that I am recovering well after six weeks. I would strongly recommend Rohit and his team. They are all highly qualified, reassuring and competent.
