Met Mr Jain at Kims hospital Maidstone prior to my hip replacement, every detail of the operation was explained in a very easy to understand manner. The surgery was carried out superbly and the after care was organised down to the last dot. I would certainly recommend Mr Jain to any future recipient.

I was referred to Mr Jain after 3 years of knee pain which in the end was the result of my pain being my hip joint which was bone on bone. I had been referred for several sessions of physiotherapy but finally a senior physiotherapist recognised the fact that my pain was due to my hip and nut my knee. My initial consultation was via the telephone, this was followed by a face to face consultation where I had an x Ray on arrival to the One Hospital in Ashford. Mr Jain Listened to my history , examined me and explained the results of my x Ray. He explained that I had exhausted my options and was clearly in pain although the condition was not life threatening it was distressing and preventing me from living my life fully , working and caring for mother. Mr Jain explained the risks and benefits of a total hip replacement and I consented to having this done. On the day of the operation Mr Jain visited me on the ward and again explained all that was going to happen, checked if I had any questions and marked my hip. I then met all the team. All staff were professional and recognised how scared I was. The anaesthetist was really patient and explained my options in terms of anaethisa and was patient. I did not make up my mind until I went to the operating theatre and she was fine with that. The whole experience was actually delightful. The nurses were attentive, physiotherapist was supportive, the house keeper was a tonic and the food was outstanding. I was really gutted that I could not really enjoy the food as I was in pain initially. I stayed 2 nights and 3 days. Mr Jain visited me the day after my operation and Explained that he was pleased with how the procedure had gone and all being well. I would be going home the next day. My follow up appointment withMr Jain was 6 weeks later where he again examined my mobility and scar and discharged me.

I had a hip replacement operation by Mr Jain in August. I had asked my gp for a referral to him as he had done a knee replacement operation a few years ago which went very well. This time I started as an NHS patient but decided to go privately as I was in a lot of pain. The treatment I received both times from the Spire Hospital staff and by Mr Jain was excellent. Mr Jain explained everything clearly, answered all my concerns and was always very kind and cheerful. I will probably need to have my other hip replaced in a few years and I really hope he will be my surgeon again. Before the operation all the appointments and tests ran smoothly. I was kept fully informed all the way through. My stay in the hospital went well and I went home the day after the operation. Physio was organised and I have already had one of the three follow-up appointments with Mr Jain. My progress so far is really good.
