As a brief synopsis of my condition to initiate this review, I had suffered a distil radius fracture from a fall at the train station. I was initally treated at St Peters Hospital aswell as at the Rowley Bristow unit where I underwent two closed reductions after which I had frequent weekly X-rays and followups, however, after the removal of my cast after 6 weeks, I had little to no strength in my right hand which was accompanied with increasing wrist pain and massive stiffness. I was referred by doctors at the Rowley Bristow to undergo virtual physiotherapy which didn’t help at all. This prompted me to opt for private care at Nuffield Health where I was examined by Mr Gupta who, in an instant, pointed out that I was suffering from intense CRPS of the right wrist. I had an MRI scan afterwards which confirmed my condition. Mr Gupta discussed my treatment plan with me & immediately referred me to Dr Andy King to start my pain management treatment along with physiotherapy under the expertise of Chris Lytle. Had it not been for Mr Gupta’s expert advice and prompt decision, I doubt I would’ve been able to reverse the affects of CRPS. During the treatment I went back to see Mr Gupta due to my shoulder pain, who yet again showed his expertise where, even before proceeding with the MRI scan, he diagnosed that I had an impingement in my right shoulder along with the affects of frozen shoulder. This was later confirmed by the MRI scan!! He is a true wizard, & I can’t thank him enough for getting my over the line of recovery( both the CRPS in the wrist and the shoulder impingement )something I thought would never happen. I would highly recommend Mr Gupta to anyone who is being troubled by upper limb issues. Thank you so much Mr Gupta!!

On meeting Mr Gupta for the first time, I immediately felt reassured. He has a pleasant and kind disposition and the ability to communicate medical terms, making it easy to comprehend. Throughout my experience with Mr Gupta, including the day of my surgery, I had complete confidence in him. I sense he's a perfectionist - that made me feel at ease. I feel fortunate that he's been my consultant.

I saw Mr Gupta in August 2021 at Prime Health, Weybridge, following a spontaneous shoulder problem. I was in excruciating pain. He diagnosed acute calcific tendinitis and I then had ultrasound guided barbotage to draw off the calcium and 2 steroid injections. One into the bursa and the other subacromial (I think). I then had a follow up NHS appointment in September at Ashford Hospital. Mr Gupta was sympathetic, able to assure me in layman's terms and put my mind at rest re future management. I will certainly contact Mr Gupta again should the need arise. I

Mr Gupta has been a very good Dr orthopaedic surgeon for me. My rotator cuff repair keyhole surgery has been a great success as six months later i feel perfectly normal (altho still have to be a bit careful). He answered all my questions well before and after the surgery in follow up helpful sessions. He led me to recovery with the help of physio exercises which I followed closely. Many thanks Mr.Gupta!
