Dr Lee has been the first surgeon to really listen to me and, thanks to him, I have been able to get surgery and fix my back issues. He also took great care of me by listening to my challenges and how my condition affected my life, explaining the scans and X-rays, discussing options and being truly interested in making my life better. When in hospital, he visited me several times, was very reassuring and always had time for my numerous questions. His team is very supportive and caring, making my stay more enjoyable. After my surgery, he took time to call my husband to update him on how it went. That was very considerate. I cannot recommend highly enough Dr Lee and will be forever grateful for what he did for me.

Mr Lee was very kind and understanding. He always made me feel he had so much time for me…. I never felt rushed. I only wish I had been referred to him some years before. I have been pain free since I had the operations on my lower spine

Mr Lee is an exceptional surgeon - I had total confidence in him from meeting him at my first consultation. He performed two major operations on my back in a week, explained every step patiently beforehand and calmly took me through all the procedures so I knew exactly what was happening and when. I am now safely on my path to full recovery and saw Mr Lee for a follow up consultation yesterday. The operations were a huge success and he was as delighted as I am. I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mr Lee as a consultant/surgeon.

After suffering with chronic lower back pain for 12 years and under going multiple physio sessions, injections and nerve ablations with little to no improvement I was eventually referred to Mr Robert Lee with the plan to carry out a L5 S1 ALIF lumber fusion. After meeting with Mr Lee I knew I was with the right surgeon and he would do his upmost to help reduce the pain I was in. He explained all the risks involved with this procedure in a way that was easy to understand and to take in and answered all questions that were asked by myself. On the day of the operation he took the time to check on me, to answer any questions I may of had and settle any pre op nerves. After the operation whilst i was in recovery he even took the time to phone my wife with an update as to how the surgery went and to let her know all was ok and the surgery went as planned which I thought was a lovely thing to do so my wife wasn’t worried for any longer time that she needed to be. The following days I received excellent aftercare from Mr Lee and the team at the Wellington hospital. Overall I am really pleased with how Mr Lee carried out the surgery and would not hesitate to recommend Mr Lee and his team to family and friends should the need arise.
