I attended an ENT clinic on 8 March 2024 at Townlands Hospital Henley where I saw Mr Robert Almeyda for investigation of heavy nose bleeds. He was on time with the appointment and following discussions examined the internal area of my nostrils. He immediately diagnosed the problem. Took photos of the area in question and explained in detail with the use of the photos the problem. We then discussed the next step using medication followed by further consultation to see if this cures the issue or whether further possible surgery could be considered. The consultation and examination were very thorough and instilled confidence in me as to the diagnosis and proposed action. Whilst with Mr Almeyda I asked him about a lesion on my nose which he examined and considered it was BCC and should be removed. I have had this skin problem before so was not surprised. Mr Almeyda made a request for the procedure of removal and within 2 hours I had a call to make an appointment. What excellent service.

I had a great appointment today. The doctor listened to what I had to say and took note of my symptoms. He suggested a plan of care which I agreed with and has a plan B if plan A does not work! I now have a prescription and a plan of action for the next 6 weeks. Obviously we won’t know if it has worked until after then but further investigations are planned and I am hopeful that finally we may get my sinusitis under control. I have hope for the first time since March 2023 when I decided against surgery.

I've been a patient of Mr Almeyda for just under a year now and cannot recommend him highly enough. He is very dedicated to providing myself the best care for myself - and I'm sure all his other patients too. He pays such attention to my aural issues, taking them very seriously and I find that very reassuring. He always ensures that everything he says that he will do for me - communication with myself, my GP and further appointments within a specific time, always happens. I have every faith that Mr Almeyda will resolve my difficulties. I also have to say that his fellow colleagues in his ENT team are inspired by him, as they are so very helpful too. Thank you Mr Almeyda, I am so grateful for your experience in the ENT medical specialty.
